Eggs in shells, aka in their whole, natural state = good.
Processed "egg substitute" = not so much.
Eat the real thing. Stay as far away as possible from the 3 P's: packaged, preserved, processed. Egg Beaters fit all three of the "avoid" P's.

I do not eat egg beaters, but sometimes my husband will buy it. I think it tastes disgusting. I try to eat only real food that is as close to nature as possible.

I just finished The End of Overeating by David Kessler, can't remember who on here recommended it, I wasn't much into the 'plan', but it had some good info on industry practices. I'm starting Salt, Sugar, Fat by Michael Moss now, I expect it to have even more concentrated info on how the food industry develops those PPP foods to hook and sell people. Of coarse eggbeaters say they are good for you... They are trying to sell you eggbeaters

I'm not suggesting that we embrace these life-changing food experiences just on grounds of pure pleasure (though there's much to be said for pure pleasure). My father was given beer in the hospital after he received a heart transplant. Not sure why - perhaps as a blood thinner.
If the heart surgeons prescribed it, it must be good, right?
