so, when I eat yogurt (the fruit flavored low fat kind) I count it as a serving of fruit.

Disagree - sorry. The "fruit" they put in yogurt is mostly sugar, thickeners and stabilizers, with a teeny amount of fruit only.
Buy plain yogurt and add half a cup of real fruit. Then you have a serving!

It is like jelly - and I don't count jelly as a serving. However, when I use plain yogurt and put a bunch of berries or cut up banana into it, then I count it, but often only as half, since I don't eat the full serving size of fruit.
