It could be a danger to our country My first reaction is no.
West suggested that the business deal gives the left-leaning site more control over federal regulations of the Internet
I am unsure what the above cut/paste from the linked article means? How does this deal give AOL control over fed regs? The beauty of the internet is the ease of starting up websites, blogs, and the diversity of ideas. AOL is but one of dozens of major web sites that supply news on the internet.
Just look at what happened with "us". MSN decided to terminate(censure) the money forums. So, someone took the bull by the horns, established the same forums here on ProBoards, and we all are here having the same discussions on the same topics.

From the link:
"West suggested that the business deal gives the left-leaning site more control over federal regulations of the Internet.
Rush Limbaugh on radio and Glenn Beck and Sean Hannity on television and Andrew Breitbart on the internet.

I'm trying to figure out the logic as well. I'm unsure of how AOL buying a web site gives said web site more power?

Should the AOL-Huffpo deal be blocked
Absolutely NOT.....the argument to block this merger is weak and will not happen IMHO
Not only that but you can bet that Arianna Huffington gives megabucks to the Dems and has them in her hip pocket......money and liberal media has a lot of power in Washington DC among the Democratic congress members.

It is not AOL as using their dial-up, it is their website. Similar to MSN.Com, Comcast.Net, Yahoo.Com...etc...

I don't think government should get involved. The market will decide- it always does. The AOL stock price has already plummeted- by an amount eerily similar to the amount of the HuffPo buyout...
You can't fool the market. It's been frustrating liberals for a century. That's why they always decry it as "unfair"- the reality is they're just upset that it IS fair. That's why they aim to take over the market by force and destroy it.

They are doing a good job of destroying it.The proof of their communist takeover agenda is evident.Record coporate profits and a rising market are the very first signs of a communist shadow government takeover. You can't fool us,Obama. The proof is obvious.
