I live in a high-rise condo...Does that count? It was built in 1993 or 1994, and I've owned my unit since 2005.

my parents live in a house in which the original part of it was built in the 1770s. I love it. My mom used to rent a house with the original log cabin still intact on one wall. It was mighty drafty, but a beautiful house. There was an addition built in 1828, pretty cool.

Construction started in 1946 (I have paperwork showing this) but the house is listed as officially built in 1947 - I bought the house from the 2nd owner (purchased 2 years after the first owner had the house built). I received the original blue prints and architects notes as a "housewarming" gift from the seller's attorney at the closing. Love me some History.

1950. When we bought I wanted something older (not new construction) but not so old to need tons of repairs/updates. My whole neighborhood was built between 1940 and 1960.

1902. My basement floor is poured concrete, but heaven knows what exactly is under it..we are always finding surprises whenever there's a repair or renovation to be made. Gotta love old houses.

They started in August before we decided to go with new construction, signed the contract after they already poured the foundation later that month, finished in November, closed in December, moved in in December.
