Has anyone had refractive eye surgery? I am thinking of having it done. The cost would be around $8K. I would not be having Lasik but a refractive lenscectomy.

I had Lasik in 2001. It was $1,000 (I had it done in Canada).
My vision is 20/20. No complications.

I am really not a good candidate for Lasik due to my prescription and some other eye issues. With the RLE (refractive lenscectomy) it is very similar to traditional cataract surgery where the natural lens of the eye is removed and an implanted lens is put in.
