Do any of you guys know of ways I might be able to get discounted tickets to Disney World and/or Universal? My friend has been planning her WDW wedding as long as I've known her (almost 10 years) and is finally pulling it off in April. I'd like to fit in as much park action as I can, and I definitely want to hit up Harry Potter Land...but I'd still like to do it as cheaply as possible

Let me check my email. I saw something the other day from Universal offering a discount on tickets. Disney rarely discounts their tickets. Are you staying at Disney?

You can tailor the tickets the way you want. However for us, we did not get the Park Hopper tickets. One park a day was more than enough for us. We did get the Water Parks and more and it included mini golf which my kids love.

Yeah, we're staying at the Shades of Green resort because the male half of the happy couple used to be in the Navy. They do offer discount tickets through the resort, but only for actual military members and spouses (which makes sense). M&J may end up pulling something together for their guests, but I'm not counting on it because they have A LOT of details to work out and are on a shoestring budget themselves. Plus I like to see what options exist.

Some other friends who will be staying longer were considering them, but are more interested in Universal than Magic Kingdom anyway.

emhalf -- I used to live in Orlando. Go to Craigslist and change it from your local city to Orlando and you'll find tickets galore on there! That's how we did Disney pretty cheaply. I know that the staff in Disney get so many tickets for free per year and it seems like they just sell the ones they won't give to family or friends, because they can get in for free anytime as staff members. They usually sell them pretty cheaply just to get rid of them and make the extra money. Good luck!
