I have tried to send a message to moonbeam, but can not get anything to type in the message box in both the proboards app or safari. The board is a MESS on the app, which is what I use 99% of the time. No avatars are showing, there's all kinds of funky text. It's way less "clean" and user friendly than before.
My biggest issue right now is it's saying I have a message, but there is nothing new in my box. I have checked using safari as well as through the app. Same thing. Is there a known issue with messages?

I made it to the new world. Not a huge change. Seems very white - although it is 5:30 am and I just got out of bed and there are no lights on in the house, so maybe, just maybe, it is situational.

Well, the mess I'm now seeing when I open this site is why I hate upgrades. Apparently my browser at work is not compatible with this upgrade because I have an error message in my task bar. And since its work, I cannot do any updates to my browser. :-( Hopefully I'll be able to check in from home now and then but I'm on the computer so much during the day at work I make a point to avoid messing with one at night. going to miss you guys but even if my other work computer's browser works for this site, I won't be able to post much because that monitor can be seen by anyone and everyone that walks past my office.

I kept getting the message indicator as well. I clicked on the last PM I received, which was from moon, and when I went back to the home screen the indicator had disappeared.

Ok, I can view just fine in Google Chrome so my issue is definately going to be with IE on my main work desktop. I'm not crazy about the new set up but I think its mostly because everything is showing new posts because on this version they are new and that is something only time will be able to work out.
BTW: Where's my Karma?

Okay - so what is the deal with "following" someone. If I follow someone, am I going to get a notice every time they post? Seems outrageous if you follow one of those people who are here for hours on end every day. I mean - what losers, don't they have anything else to do?  |

Tess, there is a little button up on the top right part of the forum that says "participated" that does a similar thing.

michelyn- There is no more karma. thyme- Of course you can use the friends/ followers function or not. If you do, you can disable notifications in your member profile if you don't want them.
That's what I did I changed my Notifications in Profile > Edit Profile. I didn't want blinking going on at the top of the page.
Okay everyone I have found that certain skins are easier. Go to one of Moons created skins and stay away from Virgil's V Skins, it's major wonkiville on them. Do this until you get the hang of things and maybe by that time Virgil will have fixed his skins.

Please give it some time and patience. There will be glitches and bugs. And like anything new there is both a learning curve, and some frustration with the change, especially for those who get hit with bigger glitches. There are some cool new features too. For instance, you can customize your avatar on your profile page.
You can customize all font choices. More sites to choose from for Video's. Stay with Moon created Skins, right now they are saner than Virgil's created Skins.

Apparently when you disable Notification choices, you also disable seeing who's following you. POM sent me a pm last night that she was following me, but I can't find it anywhere in my profile. WHY - cause I disabled Notifications, so I wouldn't have blinking at the top of my screen.

The avatar creator would not work for me in Chrome. The loading screen kept cycling. It works fine in IE.

I made it here in one piece. It all looks nice, but there are some bugs. I saw on another thread (please don't ask me which one or where it is) Moon and Virgil saying it would take a little time to get everything worked out. I'm gonna do exactly what I did when we first arrived at Proboards; just wait and see it all get settled.

My notifications don't blink. They just look like a little thought bubble with a number in it.
I'm on Chrome, maybe it will be different on Explorer?

The floating top only allows for navigation within the current thread. The home button and Alt+d requires the cumbersome effort of removing my hand from the mouse or using my left hand. I know, I know, patience.

I do not know if this has been addressed yet, but can we get the "newest post" option back on the threads?
Right now, all I can do is click on ther last page, and hope, I am near the last post I read the last time I was here. On active threads, I might be off a page or so, and have to waste time backtracking pages finding where I last left off.
