Rocky Mtn Saver: 14 CSD/8 NSD
Still doing well in not spending much money, but then again, I'm making up for some days earlier this month! It also helps that I'm doing some extra work preparing taxes, so I'm too busy to spend money. Tomorrow will be a spend day, though, as I am going to the movies with friends. I need to surface again after being underwater with packing and moving. People are starting to worry about me.

Update: 11NSD/11CSD/7Spend
Yesterday went exactly as planned, so I can't complain about that. Today should also be a no spend, unless I decide to make something for dinner that we don't have all the ingredients for. C pulled out ground turkey for dinner tonight, which means I'm cooking. I'm trying to decide what to do- I don't have the cheese for the casserole dish or milk for SOS. He only pulled out one pack, so I'm not making chili. I know tacos are a huge favorite here, but see the comment about no cheese (or tortillas, I think). I do have the ingredients for the curried turkey sliders with yogurt dipping sauce, but I'm not certain if that's what I want to do. I'm trying to think of a preparation that would involve the curry spicing of the meat, but not be served as sliders. If I can't think of anything, I'll go with pasta with a meat sauce. Sadly, I really should be using up the last of the alfredo, not making a new red sauce, but oh well on that. Any ideas from you ladies for ground turkey that doesn't involve cheese or milk?

Shan - You could make the curried version you were thinking of and serve it over rice instead of as a slider. Or, if you have peppers, you could do a stuffed pepper. You could do a version of shepherd's pie. If you have lettuce, you could do lettuce wraps. You could scrape out a zuccini (or other such veg) and bake it.

I was going to suggest simple Shepherd's Pie. I just brown the meat with some seasonings, mix in frozen veggies and some sauce (we either use a marinade or like bbq sauce), top it with mashed potatoes. I go lazy most of the time and just make them out of a box mix.

Update: 12NSD/11CSD/7Spend
I "cheated" last night. At 5:30pm, I said- oh, I'm supposed to be making dinner, aren't I, and C said -I wasn't counting on it, especially since you haven't even started (says the man who usually waits for me to feed the dogs at 6 before starting to make our dinner). But, it meant that he made meatballs to go with pasta and the last of the alfredo. This made me happy, because I LOVE meatballs and and meatloaf, but I rarely get them, since I don't make them, and I'm ususally the one who cooks when we're having ground turkey.

3cats: Praying for that family, how awful.
DS#2 is home ill yet again, sigh.... complete with throwing up. So glad to have a friend who could drive DD to preschool and home again. Between illnesses, holidays, meetings for DS#2 (have had 5 or 6 in the last two months) I don't know how I have gotten ANYTHING done!
