Norway.....you are cracking me up!!
Seems like there are a few things with the boards that aren't working great, hopefully just bugs and they are already fixing them!

Have you ever seen a full-size adult do a terrible-two's throw-yourself-on-the-ground tantrum??

S4N, temper tantrum time. I have tried to post 3x and it kept saying: So if this happens to anyone, you might be on phone and tablet at the same tiime. Used to be able to do that but not with the upgrade. RockyMtn, I earn 80% of income in first 4 months so unless I get a lot of my goals by then, they shift to the next year. Teachermom, baby steps SaverBee, congrats on; - upcoming wedding and keeping the costs down to spend the limited $$ on a home
- paying a 'mortgage' before hand to see how much you can actually afford

Yes, Ombud, definitely baby steps!! Seems like lately it is just a ton of little things setting me back. This week.....eye doctor and glasses for my son, need to call and have roof checked due to all the winds lately...now losing shingles, and need to have an electrician come check out some plug ins that went out and now my freezer isn't working.....yes, everything thawed out. Oh well.....plodding ahead!! Teachermom

Hey....anyone know what I am doing wrong that won't allow me to put my ticker tracker in? I copied the HTML language to my signature and saved it but as you can see....just the HTML language is showing up.
ETA: I just realized I needed to use the bb code for posting to a board. LOL

yay for dancing bananas, how did you get it to work megaptera?!! Thanks for the congrats S4N and Ombud! Yup "play" paying mortgage is really helpful, the sucky thing is that while "playing" I get to watch the money accumulate in my savings, when it comes time to make actual payments my savings account will not grow as fast lol...well I guess to make myself feel better I will have to track paying down the mtg too teachermom, plod on! plod on! Sometimes I get frustrated with the way my finances dance (not as cute as a dancing banana): 2 steps forward, 1 step back (and unfortunately at times 1 step forward, 2 steps back ) at least somewhere in there is a step forward so no matter how slow it goes we'll be in a better spot!

I am going it the forward way, month 1 was easy because it was just $10. Gives me some time to get some other things taken care of since is seems to be raining!! Teachermom

I'm still getting used to this new format so it may take me a few tries to get this update right. I'm missing the easy access to the row of smilies we had before. It's going to make updating more time consuming. Ewwww, working on that update made me realize that they don't number our posts anymore. I used to keep track of how far I had previously updated by noting the post number. Now, I'm going to have to rely on my memory or something. (Another good excuse for me messing up future posts.) Oh, yea, and another one... the smilies choices are so small (and my eyes are getting so bad) that I can't really tell the difference between the ones that look similar. So, if you're expecting a and get a by accident, I hope you understand. If I make so many mistakes that it irks the snot out of you, volunteer to give me a break for a few months.

S4N, I changed my annual goal from 14,517 to 15,000 . We'll all get used to this
HappyCat,The secret to a table is to do it on a laptop (or anything other than mobile) where you get the table button.

S4N: I updated my goal as well to include the weekly challenge. $4,878 THANKS! I see the table button but I don't know what to do with it? Do I still cut/paste my spreadsheet into that? Sorry to be such a bother...

Namaste, Scottish_Lassie is going to get the dancing banana put in with the smiley bunch ASAP, so have patience. How on earth do you make a table ? I for the life of me can't figure it out.
I figured out how to do a table and it's so much simpler than before. I won't be around today cause it's Transfusion Treatment day for me.

To do a table - Click the table button and put in the numbers of Columns Across and Rows Down you want. Cellpadding I believe, is how big each section is and Cellspacing I believe, is the distance between each cell. Then there is the Border. When you put in your numbers and click it, it's highlighted Row 1 Column 1 and that's where you put your numbers & percentages at.
Row 1 column 1 | Row 1 column 2 | Row 1 column 3 | Row 1 column 4 | Row 1 column 5 | Row 1 column 6 | Row 1 column 7 | Row 2 column 1 | Row 2 column 2 | Row 2 column 3 | Row 2 column 4 | Row 2 column 5 | Row 2 column 6 | Row 2 column 7 | Row 3 column 1 | Row 3 column 2 | Row 3 column 3 | Row 3 column 4 | Row 3 column 5 | Row 3 column 6 | Row 3 column 7 | Row 4 column 1 | Row 4 column 2 | Row 4 column 3 | Row 4 column 4 | Row 4 column 5 | Row 4 column 6 | Row 4 column 7 | Row 5 column 1 | Row 5 column 2 | Row 5 column 3 | Row 5 column 4 | Row 5 column 5 | Row 5 column 6 | Row 5 column 7 |

For my table above I used Columns 7. Rows 5. Cellpadding 7. Cellspacing 0 and I clicked border. Then you click Insert Table and where it's highlighted Row 1 Column 1 that is where you work across. I found it so much simpler to do than before. Everyone I wish you great gobs of luck. Namaste

Oh and a word or warning. If your doing this in reply on BBCode, before you click on Visual to see your post highlight and copy it. I found several times doing this in conversation that I lost my BBCode. It went all code and wonky on me and it looked like one of Virgil's creations, not good.

Bummer, Ombud. Maybe it's a case of adjustment pains? What is it about the job that's getting to you so much? By the way, I had a friend who left a job after just one day. The boss was horrible -- yelled and berated employees publicly and left her in tears the first day she worked for him. She never went back.

People are fine. I have to pass a test on selling bank products to people who want to have their taxes done and they charge a ton to get even simple taxes done. I think it is a philosophical issue.
Reworked my finances and I might still be able to meet all goals except Roth without the job

Well, if it's an ethical issue to you, that might be something that can't be worked through. I am picking up some hours doing taxes this spring with one of the big chain outfits, and I'm not too thrilled about one of their financial products either. But I don't really have to 'sell' it, just offer the option. I think it's a stupid option, but I reminded myself that it's not my business what they choose to do with their money. I get no commission based on sales of the financial products, so I feel okay with just presenting it as an option.

Ombud, I would never be able to do sales as I would not be able to pitch a product that I didn't truly believe in or felt that it was a good value for the money. If you are the same way and part of this job has a sales quota that you must meet then I think it would be very tough for you to make quota. A friend of mine also had a similar experience where she passed her interview stage for a company and then was given a huge binder to learn all the company's products that she was expected to pitch. One of the new hires was let go in two weeks of training/selling phase and she herself was let go under a month, I guess they could tell during that period that she was not going to be an aggressive marketer?
Are you using an agency at all to find an alternative job? Best of luck on whatever you decide to do.

I wanted to wait and post my update after my paycheck today.
HSA - Goal $2210, 1/17/13 - $170.00 - 7% Traditional IRA - Goal $6000, 1/17/13 - $550.00 - 9% Savings Bonds - Goal $10,000, 1/17/13 - $500.00 - 5% Taxable Acct - Goal $2590, 1/17/13 - $50.00 - 1%
