Some threads will occasionally include images or avatars that blink, sparkle, or animate rapidly. If you are sensitive to this kind of content, you can disable animations in your browser as follows: In Firefox:- type about:config into the Firefox address bar
- look for the entry image.animation_mode (the entries are sorted alphabetically)
- double-click it and set its value to none
In Internet Explorer:- click on the gear icon on the toolbar and choose Internet Options from the menu
- click on the Advanced tab
- deselect Play animations in web pages, which is located under the Multimedia category
- restart your browser
In Opera:- press F12
- deselect Enable GIF animation
