Any suggestions? DH had one in the 100 series and really liked it. Unfortunately, the band broke and it cannot be replaced. I think the higher up models have a chip or clip that you can attach to your shoe for treadmill running. DH does a lot of distance running both inside and out and would like to be able to keep track of both types of runs.

...duct tape... or yellow gorilla tape and then add a Steelers' sticker in the center... yeah, that'll do the trick...

My husband has a tracker for cycling, and he is totally obsessed with it and his stats. If your husband likes to track his runs - definitely get him the best rated tracker out there. Merry Christmas! It is the gift that keeps on giving. Of course I have to listen to him prattle on and on and on about his stats.

I have the Garmin Forerunner® 405CX. The watch is good. I am not sure if I am in love with the touch controls because it can be very sensitive. But the watch works well.

I have the Garmin Forerunner 110. It doesn't do instantaneous pace, just average pace per mile. But that doesn't really bother me too much.
I believe Garmin makes a foot pod that you can pair with their watches. I was thinking of upgrading to a higher level (300-400) Garmin but I have only had mine for six months so don't giving it up yet!

I have the Garmin 310XT which is the waterproof version of the 310 (useful for triathlons but the pace is not reliable while swimming...just the time). It's enormous so you only want to where it while training but I heard the 400 serious with the touch screen (smaller face) is difficult to use when your hands are sweaty. I'm happy with my purchase.
