for the guys- underwear while working out?

when I exercise and I know i am doing squats, I like to wear briefs or boxer briefs to keep my boys stable--if I wear boxers and they are loose it definitely distracts me

same when I do deadlifts

other things- like chest / bench press, shoulder press, etc. it doesn't bother me and I can wear regular boxers and let them hang

so I try to plan my underwear for my lifts

anyone else do this? other opinions?

am I alone on this?

I've worn nothing but boxer briefs for years now. It's been so long since my junk has been hanging that on the few occasions I've had to wear boxers in the last several years it's uncomfortable just going about daily activities. I don't even want to imagine squatting with my boys dangling.

I don't think many women run without a bra even in the A cup
to B cup unless they are young or silicone enhanced.


I find your question and explanation interesting Rob. Since women do spend time thinking about bras, fit, utility, etc. it seems reasonable guys
might have similar concerns about their endowments.

I always wear athletic boxer briefs. Otherwise chaffing is a risk I don't want to deal with, including on the snakes head. Or one wrong move and the boys come flopping out...

I'll try to save you Rob. I don't wear different types of undies for different lifts. Same old tighty whities for me. I've tried switching to boxers, but don't like things swaying around when I walk. The biggest problem I have is doing sit ups. My inner thighs have gotten large enough the things get squished with every rep. Sometimes it really hurts, I need to figure something else out.

Lately the briefs really have been cutting into my legs, thinking about switching to commando, but don't want things too free down there.
