::I'm already a member of the democratic party. But yes, I got signatures to get on the ballot, got endorsements, went door to door, got the "qualified" rating from the Independent Judicial Qualifiaction Committee", bought ads, the whole shebang. ::
I don't see anything in there about sleeping with anyone, making promises to powerful people not to convict them, or making up a scandal about an opponent. And yet you claim you're a lawyer?

Maybe it was the she banging that turned off some voters. Not everyone is into that.

Did you at least point out that you wouldn't wear anything under the robe?

What about acorn-stuffed condoms? Think of the fun the kids could have playing cornhole with 'em!

Don't forget to stamp "VOte for Swamp!" on the side of the condoms. Gotta make sure people know who they are voting for. Or better yet, stamp the other guy's name on them so everyone will vote for you instead of the alleged pervert.

Hand out condoms with my name on them. Campaign slogan, "get screwed now, not later.". I like it.

My favorite part of that case is that the judge wasn't even disciplined - because according to the Commission, "the government" hands out condoms willy-nilly, so why should a judge be punished for doing the same? Only in Intercourse...

I think I misunderstood something. When you say you "ran" for judge you mean you joined a political party and bought ads ect to get people to vote for you? I just figured you meant you sucked up to the local powers that be to se if you could get the job. I'm already a member of the democratic party. But yes, I got signatures to get on the ballot, got endorsements, went door to door, got the "qualified" rating from the Independent Judicial Qualifiaction Committee", bought ads, the whole shebang. I tried the sucking up part previously but it didnt work because the person that does the appointing is a republican and will throw his own mother under the bus if it benefits him politically Being a democrat and a judge is easy - whatever the Constitution says, do the opposite.

The village of Intercourse, what did they expect? Back on topic, I thought you'd worked out a clerkship gig with someone, Swamp, did that fall through?

The clerkship wouldn't be for a few more years. The guy I talked to is currently the clerk to a judge. His judge has a few more years to retirement. This guy appears to be the heir apparent to the judgeship, but a lot can change.
In the meantime, the judgeship that I want may reopen.
