Any economy incapable of producing the food for the masses is one which is bound to crumble. Historically, unattainable food prices is one of the more common causes of social revolution. www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-12354402I will be participating in MidWestern's food price tracking project on this board. The importance of such a project is unlikely be seminal, but will hopefully allow each of us to consider the implications of food economics. I do recommend the film FOOD INC. There is nothing therein to offend anyone based on political party preference. If only Rexford Tugwell were here. Instead we get Vilsack.

Luckily the US can produce many times the amount of food needed to feed its masses... I hope I don't have to see that day that we don't.
