The title says it all.
You get a $25 statement credit for spending $25 at a participating business next Saturday. Last year the credit was on my statement before we got home from shopping.
Sign-up started at 12:00 a.m. MST today and continues until next Saturday . . . or until all the available sign-ups are gone.
They even have a map to show you who around you is participating. Your best bets are usually restaurants, and they list those first.

So is it weird that there isn't a single restaurant in my area offering this, but "Asian Girls Online" is???

Thanks. The irony of this is that usually I don't use my AE at small businesses because their fees are so high, and some small businesses just plain don't take them- but I see that my favorite yarn shop is on the list, so I signed up.

Thanks for posting! There's a local paint-your-own-pottery place that's participating, I haven't done that for years. Should be fun

After a false start, I had a happy ending on this. Went to the yarn sjop and asked if she took Amex. She said she'd take Amex if it were friendlier to small businesses. Odd that her shop was listed on the Amex site but my plan had been to spend $25 or so if she didn't take AE, $50 if she did. Glad I asked in advance.
The liquor store was also on my list of errands and I got to the counter with $53 worth of bottles and saw the Small Business Saturday promotion flier displayed at the counter. Score! So, I got a nice stash of yarn and got the $25 credit selsewhere.

I bought a new wireless router, and got the $25 off! YAY to supporting small, local businesses!
