...and it still applies, every day of every year... Love you all! ReflectionsAs the year draws to a close, I am pondering the people and events in my life. This has been a year of many things for many people here on EE and around the world. Some of you have experienced tragedy this past year, and our hearts are with you while you struggle through your pain. The best part of your struggle is that your loved one isn't truly gone while you remember him or her in your hearts and your memories. Some of you have experienced triumphs, like Mrs Kent, struggling through a few years of hopeful recovery to finally have success. A few of you have completed your degrees, and will make your special mark on the world, whether it is in the minds of the little ones who are the future of our country, or whether you will put a stamp of approval on engineered drawings. Some of you have experienced disappointments such as loss of job, or inability to find work. Many are venturing into a new world, like beginning a new lifestyle, such as living on a farm, or moving to a new community. Some have had surgery, many have had mishaps. Some of us are away for awhile to figure out what they need in life. Some of you are moving into the scary world of higher education as an older adult (vs. the teens, early 20's) Some of you have new members of your family, or will have new additions in the year to come. Oh, the joy of birth! But most of all, we are a community here, and it always amazes me at the amount of caring and support we all have for one another through our pain, trials, tribulations, joys and successes in spite of the fact that many of us don't really truly know one another. Many of us come here for thought provoking dialogue, wise (or witty) advice, inane jocularity, or just some way to vent frustrations they would not necessarily express in RL. I also want to remember that there is a very large number of EE'ers who are kind of invisible. They are the ones who read our posts daily, but just aren't quite brave enough to jump in. I know darn well they are spewing (insert beverage here) on their keyboards with regularity just as much as the rest of us. I have had the pleasure of meeting a few of you in RL. (Well, not necessarily MEETING, getting to know via email or FB) The people I have met in RL, I am delighted to know, you all know who you are, and I feel blessed to have you as a part of my life. I just want to take a moment to let all of you know you have helped to keep me sane from time to time this year, and you are a special and wonderful group of people. I hope your holiday season whatever type of holiday you celebrate is beautiful and special as you share time with you family and friends. A new year is about to come upon us, and I sincerely hope you all find what you are looking for, or achieve what you want. I hope all of you stay safe and well. I certainly hope this doesn't sound generic, as I won't name names because I don't want to leave anyone out cuz y'all are GREAT! Just remember it isn't the things under the tree that are important, but the people who are with you as you share gifts! Cheesy

Cheesy, you say things in such a nice way. Thanks for being such a great person and friend. I hope we get to me someday in RL. I agree 1,000% The fact that she remembers Mrs. Kent's eight-year battle is testimony to her sensitivity and that's just one of the reasons why I consider her my Internet daughter. For Cheesy

And you have become very special to a lot more people than you probably realize. Feel free to drop us a line (or PM) whenever, if ever, you feel like it.
