When my husband lost 50 pounds, his allergies got better and he was able to sleep better.

It's a great pity the right of free speech isn't based on the obligation to say something sensible.

When my husband lost 50 pounds, his allergies got better and he was able to sleep better. Bingo! When I see someone complaining of poor sleep, if that individual is overweight, I'll recommend losing that weight through diet and exercise. Same is true if a sleep study shows oxygenation dropping during hours of sleep.

Lone,
Always good to post something like this even if it a reminder. Breathing and Drinking liquids are important parts of daily living that can have a significant impact on our health. I get to see how well I do hydrating myself later today. I hope I have one of the easier Mods covering.

It depends on the condition. If someone is getting hypoxic at night, that may be due to sleep apnea. And CPAP or Bipap which provides a continuous flow of positive pressure keeps the airways open to stop airway obstruction resulting in hypoxia. In other cases, there are people with severe heart disease or COPD that may need supplemental oxygen.

I'm anemic and I feel drowsy with less oxygen inside of me. I don't know how to cure that tiredness. Less oxygen when awake just turns me pale or blue...maybe I'm the same colour when asleep too.

Yes, why is she anemic? Iron deficiency? Etc? Oxygen would not be the preferred treatment for anemia.

Lone, I don't have many oxygen carriers in my bloodstream. ;D But sometimes when I'm tired, I want to feel the fresh breeze against me...

I picked this up from The Drs. as an anti-aging help.
Get a large bore straw and breath in/out through it for 1 minute. I don't know why but this really seemed to boost what felt was better breathing for me afterward.
A little back story. I had exercise induced asthma once this fall so I am concerned about my breathing.
