Don't waste your money if you are just going to continue to wear mom jeans.

Don't waste your money - just take your tummy, tuck it into a pair of control-top granny panties.
Then you can throw on those mom-jeans you're so proud of.
Cost? $0

Don't waste your money if you are just going to continue to wear mom jeans. Just lose it with exercise, Shooby.

Sometimes exercise is too slow a process and does not work. I know someone who lost 30 lbs. but retained that stomach. Her fitness trainer daughter didn't have a remedy.
Other methods. A ladies best friend is control panties. They come in different controls from light on up. Or Spanx.
What would be neat is those panels they put in slacks that diminish the appearance of a tummy but in an affordable camisole.
The light therapy treaments seem to work immediately and are noninvasive. As seen on The Doctors TV show.

Yes or no? Are you serious...I always thought you had a healthy sense of self worth. What is this, some sort of mid-life crisis. Don't let anyone cut into you. I don't know how bad you feel about your body, but it is probably far more serious in your mind than in reality. Eat like a rabbit for six months....you can do it. Or, love who you are, if there are no health issues.

Why is there some assumption of low self worth? And, what's wrong with a bit of a tune up?

Why is there some assumption of low self worth? And, what's wrong with a bit of a tune up? Because you end up looking like Frankentein. A small town lady wants to get all prettied up? It doesn't suit you...but it's your life.

If looks are important to you, why not look as good as you can for as long as you can.
If you are at a healthy, stable weight and can't lose the tummy, then I say go for it.
If you are overweight and looking for a shortcut, I would recommend going the rabbit route Robert mentioned. I know an overweight guy who got a tummy tuck. It was painful, required a lot of recovery time and he gained the weight back within 4 months. He was not happy with his decision and ended up having to go the diet/workout route in the end.

My attitude is if we have a body we have to look after it. You can diet, exercise and wear clothes that suit your figure but plastic surgery for the sake of it I don't go along with!

Go for it, Shoob. I'm here to tell you....when the "girls" start heading south, they are getting a one way ticket back up north.

shooby, I look at it this way, the beauty is just skin deep. We all changes with the time. No one can't stop the coming of ages. So, don't worry about it too much. ;D

Well, i didn't say it was serious. Just annoying. And, why not look better if possible? I am not overweight nor trying to become a Barbie Doll. I am not 20. I get that. I just want to make the most of life and a big part of my life is sports. I want to look good and feel good. I am not a lazy person looking for a quick fix. I exercise and work out. I enjoy that. But, there are real issues that occur in the body post child birth. I had an extremely traumatic birth with my daughter. Luckily and fortunately and thank Heavens everything turned out to the best possible scenario. But, i want to keep in shape as long as possible. As for self esteem issues, i think i am quite realistic about the risks and what i am trying to ultimately achieve. It isn't a "look at me" thing whatsoever. But, just wondering if anyone else had considered this.

I wouldn't go for unnecessary cosmetic surgery - if you're not losing your tummy doing the exercises you are now, then maybe you need a new workout routine that focuses mainly on your abs. Also, an adjustment to diet: - Leafy greens- eg: Brussels Sprouts, Lettuce
- Beans and legumes
- Almonds and other nuts, skin intact
- Spinach & other green vegetables
- Avocados
- Blueberries
- Whole Grains
- Low-fat milk, cottage cheese, yogurt
- Fish/Chicken - skinless.

A tummy tuck is not a substitute for diet and exercise. It isn't a cure all. But, the reality is that the abdominal rectus muscles separate and become lax and no amount of situps is going to fix that.

Are you fat? (that is a relative concept)
I will never imagine you the same way again...eat less, don't stuff you face and snort it all down.

I know a girl who had a Tummy Tuck, she's 37. We were walking into a restaurant one night and she said "Lis, I used to look like that"....and she pointed to a beer barrel.
Now she's all curvy. Like a wine bottle, only more like a magnum. All the guys were all over her that night. She was very happy and extrmely confident. ;D

Yes. I've seriously thought about it since having kids. I had DS six months ago. I've lost all of my pregnancy weight plus another 10 pounds. I can wear pants I haven't fit into for years. People keep complimenting me about how great I look and how they can tell I've lost weight, but ...
But my tummy is flabby, and it's mostly extra skin that exercise isn't going to make go away. You can't really tell in clothes too much because I wear things that I hide it. But I hate it.

My sister works for a plastic surgeon and I told her "don't you dare quit until I decide if there is any type of surgery that I want.", lol. That's my problem, 30...I'm not overweight, at all, but just have that post baby, tummy. One of those things, you just can't get rid of it, but well worth it. If I had the money, I would get it corrected, though.

Oh hells no,,unless it means that much to you,,my kids are now in their 20's,,and I still have that hump and the stretch marks,,I'm not fat but there is no way that I would get rid of that badge of honor that gave birth to two wonderful children,,,if you want to do it then do it but just do it for you and no one else,,I'm lucky enough to have a man that actually likes my little lump ;D
