Let me tell you something funny. I had mentioned that at my store at different times I found:
biten (and put back into bread brown bag) italian roll
huge apple with bite and brigh red lipstick around it
bottle of buttermilk opened...some consumed and left between mellons (not made up place - honestly between mellons)
4lb sugar weighting 3.5lb due to someone 'borrowing' of the sugar (not employees). My mother alert me. She said she was buying opened lighter bag of sugar. We had checked and voila!
Opened butter and visible scratched with a nail 'for taste' (yuck!)
I am not even mentioning candy wrappers and half-eaten fruits ...
I can't wait for whats next...

I was watching a show once that warned people not to buy stuff from the bulk bins at the natural grocery stores. While I knew they weren't the most hygenic thing, I did get a little green when the show described all the things that the stores discover in the bins. The #1 thing found in the bins.... fake fingernails.

We had people steal diapers, and kindly leave the dirty one behind for us to discover. Or stealing 1 tampon out of a box.
One lady stood and peed all over my checklane when I told her the restrooms were not for customers (all the way through the back storeroom). She then said "well, now you get to clean up my mess" and walked out. I told the manager no way in hell was I cleaning that up.

Once in the women's restroom at a store: used pregnancy test. I didn't check to see the results.

Sam814, I totally believe that that happened, and yet that is one of the most unimaginable things I've ever read. Blech ! Sorry that you had to have that happen near you.

lone- check out PeopleOfWalmart.com. I wouldn't be as concerned about dog butts as I would about some other things that go on in Walmart. Also a good reminder to bag your produce so it doesn't touch the cart Then again, my DD loved to chew on the handle of the cart at Aldi I would wipe it off as best I could, but I just hope & pray those germs only helped to strengthen her immune system.

DH worked at a pretty high-end clothing store in Manhattan for 3 years... and learned that apparently even rich people think it's OK to pee in a dressing room One of my friends who works at Target complains about the same thing, so apparently it's more common than I would've thought. Who DOES that, though? Another friend works at Sally Beauty Supply and found a used maxi pad stuck in a bin of hairbrushes. And I know this happened, because I saw the pic on Facebook Why are people so disquisting?

Maxi pad thing is disgusting as well. Women can be gross! Many (and I do mean many) decades ago I was working a full-time job and had a part-time job as a janitor. Janitor duties included cleaning the restrooms. OMG, the difference in cleanliness between the male and female bathrooms was astounding! Filthy, filthy, filthy and the stuff they write on the walls would make a sailor blush. ETA Of course, this observation is not applicable to the ladies on this board.

My parents had a bowling alley when I was a kid. They always said the women's restroom was way worse than the men's.
