Zib, New Orleans has a bunch of shirt tailors, if you have to go custom.

My husband isn't "huge" like football player big. I think he's pretty average size. 5' 10" and about 210 lbs. He's not fat, maybe "athletic" build? Anyway, when I buy him Large shirts, he says they're too tight, so I'll buy i'm XL. But he's not really an Extra Large guy? What kind of shirts do really large guys wear - like over 6'2"?? Andrea, at 5'10" and 210 pounds, I think it's unlikely your hubby has an athletic build unless he has muscles on his muscles. A body builder type. I'm about the same height as your hubby. Back in the days when I worn an athletic cut shirt I weighed about 155 pounds and had a waist that was less than 28 inches. I think men's shirts are getting harder to buy simply by the size on the label. Many of the shirts made in Asia or the Pacific Islands seem to run small. I wear shirts that range from a L to a XXL depending on how they are cut. My suggestion is to get hubby to go shopping. Select a brand and style of shirt that fits well. Then buy that shirt in multiple colors and patterns. It might take a couple of brands to cover both dress and casual shirts. But, the idea is to pick something that fits so you can just buy it and know that it will meet your expectations. This approach allowed me to buy the same shirt that always fit well for nearly 20 years. If nothing you find fits your hubby well, maybe you should consider custom shirts for at least part of his wardrobe (google custom men's shirts). Custom shirts aren't cheap, but something that fits properly will be more comfortable and will help your hubby look well put together. Wearing clothes that fit well can be a career enhancer in some fields. Ever see a picture of a Fortune 500 CEO in a suit that doesn't fit well? Neither have I. So dressing well must be one of the unwritten job requirements. Look like a slob in your poorly fitting work wear? No corner office for you. (I once saw Ted Turner in the Atlanta airport. What first attracted my attention was how well his suit was cut. As he got closer, I noticed that he had a really good haircut. When he got even closer, I realized it was Ted Turner. Finally, I realized that the woman walking next to him wearing an ordinary trench coat was Jane Fonda. The clothes can set you apart.)
