The incumbent state senator robocalls me regularly, at both my home and office.
As a result, I will not be voting for her.
Anyone else annoyed by the political calls?

I get them here in Ontario, Canada and were not even having a damn election. I get these calls about 3 times a week about who am I going to vote for and our next Provincial Election is October 1st, 2015 and the next Federal Election is October 19th, 2015.

I hate the political calls, but love the automated surveys...
I have been:
* a 18 year old Hispanic female democrat voting for Romney * a 60 year old Caucasian male republican voting for Obama * a 40 year old African American male Independent voting for Romney * a 65 year old Asian female democrat voting for Romney

I get calls for Romney ALL THE TIME. I think we've gotten one robo-ad for Obama. I refuse to vote for one state senator because his damn campagin volunteers show up at our house, scare the dog and wake the baby up from her nap. It's like they have a sensor in their heads that tells them now is the worst possible time to knock on someone's door, so let's go knock!

I'm soooooooooooo happy I live in a state that heavily swings for one party. Neither side bothers to advertise. ;D

He was just saying last night, that he doesn't believe the polls because most people have caller ID and don't answer the phone. The ones that do are just screwing with the polls.

I'm in VA and it is NON STOP for both parties. I'm getting mailings, have to hear the same f*&^ing commercials on the radio and TV (during the news and when I watch my network shows), etc. And its not just the presidential election this year, Senator Webb chose not to run for re-election so we have George "mukaka" Allen trying to get his seat back and another former Governor and head of the DNC, Tim Kaine running against him. The air is thick with BS this cycle.

My wife got a live person calling for me from the Democratic party last night (I am a republican). She told them YOU REALLY DON'T want to talk to him. He DOES NOT like political calls. I got a live one a few days ago, and chewed the guy out. I figure maybe I can discourage people from wanting to call if I am gross enough.

I made the mistake of donating $10 to the Romney campaign....they haven't stopped calling or mailing me since. Letters I toss out, and caller ID takes care of the phone.

I lie to them now. I did it once by accident answering questions on a scale 1-5, I was busy and realized at the end I rated all backwards. Now I just lie cuz they annoy me.

A billionaire asking me to donate. Any letters addressed to me I mark "refused, return to sender" and drop them in a mailbox. Costs them return postage that way.

I loathe political calls and hang up as soon as I know that's what it is. Yuck.
And all political mailers get dropped into the recyclables bin before I walk into the house with "real" mail.

I got one call back in May. I politely told them it was a bad time (I was on vacation), but that I support the President. No need to be a douche.

I hate the stinking political calls because they disturb the rhythem of my day when I'm working at home, and because my DH is sick and has several chronic conditions, he sometimes naps during the day after a night of insomnia. They always wake him up. The phone will ring quite a long time, so I have to pick up the receiver, and then press the end call button ( know there's a better term for it, but can't think of it right now ) so as not to wake him up. If you call me, I won't vote for you. Simple as that. Also, my gf and her husband are lifelong Democrats, and they made the mistake of contributing to a couple of presidential candidate's campaigns. Now, they're on the list for every local, state, ( including out-of-state ) and national Democratic fundraiser, plus all of the PAC's interested in those similar issues as the party. They get endless emails, calls, and junk mail. Republicans that I work with complain about the same issues. It's just nuts.

I went in to the local office of the party of my choice, told them I had already voted in early voted and asked them to stop calling me. That was last Friday. I received another call today and asked her to stop calling about who I support because I've voted and, no, I will not be volunteering.
I made those calls in 2008. I had a sheet of paper with information about the people. We were instructed to stop calling once they asked you to stop calling.
If they call me again, I will tell them that.

I stopped volunteering because I was asked to make this phone calls and told them that if I ever got one, I'd vote for the other guy and that it pisses people off so don't do it. Not what they wanted to hear so I haven't been back.
