Hi all, As its the end of the first month of the year I thought some might like to keep track and post Grocery spend amounts for the past month. If you use coupons feel free to add your savings too. I will start off. I only spent $63 this month on everything. I bought in $300 worth of products, the difference was either using coupons or store rewards like Rite Aid's UP rewards or CVS ECB's. I went by the sale price to come up with the $300, not the regular prices. I was on Vacation for 1 week and did not include that spending so my total is lower than normal this month. Any Lurkers out there can jump right in now and post. I hope to see people having fun with this thread. Remember, anything saved stays right in our own pockets.

I moved this month so didn't hound hardly at all. So I'll just include yesterday.
Groceries and WAGS was about $138 and I paid $12.60 OOP. $138 was sales price as well.

I know that my savings are enormous. For example, this week I bought (9) jars of Skippy peanut butter at CVS for $1 in OOP (paid for with EBs). I also bought over $100 of beef fillet at Safeway for $33.08. I made a HUGE profit in UPs shopping at Rite Aid and have/will convert most of them into SCRs so all in all I'll probably be in the negative for the month of January. When the only game in town for me was WAGs, I used to keep track of what I did from month to month there, but now I'm pretty active at all three drug chains and do a cazzilion transactions per month and I just don't want to have to keep track of it all.

I can't wait for March. My spreadsheet says so far this month i have bought $153 worth of items and spent $25 out of pocket. Mainly by re-using the UP rewards from Rite Aid and getting what gives back Up rewards. We have meat in the freezer still from the past few months but i am now out of frozen Veg. So my total will go up before the end of the month but its looking better than i hoped for so far. Does anyone else have any spreadsheet numbers to share?

I do way too much shopping at too many stores to really track my savings, but it's gotta be in the high 90%. My total spent for January was $53.xx. That was all grocery, RA, Wags, CVS, etc. If I were to add in my rebates received, I'd be in the negative. I've deposited 79.99 in rebates since the first of the year and have about $15 more in my purse. That's not counting what I increased in my EB's, Ups and RR's either...

my spreadsheet shows that i spent more than usual in january - BUT i was replenishing the stockpile since we skimped & lived off the stockpile for 2 months while DH was unemployed. Also, my numbers include EVERYTHING, from cat food & litter to diapers & wipes to TP & paper towels & all HBA & cleaning stuff. i also use the shelf price to determine the merchandise value.
Merchandise total $1,392.05 Total paid OOP $453.21 less $30.32 overage received in RR, EB or MIR and the cost to me is $419.19.
February will be better since my stock is up & the month is short! ;D

For January and February, my totals were a little high due to restocking, but I can't tell how much because my savings notebook has disappeared. I have found a way to cut spending in March on snacks- bottled water and portioned snacks bought on sale. I will also try to make sure I check HCW or other sites before shopping. I have $55 in rebates coming- one of the rebates is a $35 profit by buying a returned in box cell phone over new in box. I could have gotten a smart phone for free- but it would have added to my monthly bill- this one does not. I still don't have my savings down as well as you guys and gals do.

Still can't find my notebook... However, I did find my receipts as I was catching my shredding up. I saved $188.66 in January, paying 274.06. I got $50 of that back- since it was purchased for others. So my actual OOP was 224.06. I used $43.16 in GCs and won a bet that cost my DM and DGM a $55.23 grocery bill. That total includes most of my restocking.
