Why???

I keep pens (same brand, same age) out constantly on both my upstairs office desk and my kitchen desk.
The office one would always need rubbing on a piece of scratch paper before it would actually write. The kitchen one always writes from the first letter.
Got tired of that (use upstairs more) so I switched the pens. In 2 days I am having the same problem w/the now upstairs pen but the (now) kitchen pen writes immediatly.
Why is this happening and can I do anything to fix it?

Humidity or something? That would be my guess. BTW, my absolute favorite pen (if there is such a thing as a favorite pen, lol) is the Pilot G2 pens. They are awesome. But, they are pricey and they run out of ink fairly quickly too like all pens. I don't think they put much ink in any of them now. I think they are just selling us sticks with a tiny amount of ink just to frustrtate us.

Try putting the cap on the pens.

Microscopic droplets of liquid cooking oil/fats in the kitchen air keep the ball point of the pen well greased?

Do you store pens in both places with the tip pointing down and the caps on?

This is your biggest issue? Really? Since when do they have to be our biggest issues? Or sensible issues? Or interesting?

Quit fighting children. I KNOW this is NOT an earth shattering issue but I am curious.
Shooby FUNNY These are both cheap, 10 pk Bic crystal pens.
Blue Both areas are kept uncapped. However, I have tried capping and keeping point side down upstairs (problem pen). NOTHING helped.
Peace Upstairs is warmer – know fact, “heat always rises”
Later Same cheap lined notebook paper and postits both places.
Doxie This is OFF TOPIC. Just ignore me if you don’t like my posts. We will both probably be happier.
Archie I have been a widow for 9 years.
