And yes, I'm missing why some of the jobs are such a big deal.
They may not be, Milee. But if you are hiring somebody to do what you don't want to do (which is frankly what it boils down to), you may need to take your employee's feelings into consideration, as well as yours. She may agree with you, it's not a big deal. Or, she may not. Maybe she can't swim and she's terrified of boats. Dunno. Maybe she doesn't know what those words even mean.
Milee, you consistently post here about how overburdened you are, how hard you work, how well you are doing financially, etc. Yet, you NEVER seem willing to compromise on this or anything else. Visibly, you have very high standards. So my conclusion is, what you really want is a Milee clone LOL.
With all respect, good luck with that. You can always hold out for another 6 or 12 months until you find that perfect person. But to me, that means that until you find that Special Someone, YOU will certainly be the one cleaning those two bathrooms for the next six to 12 months until you find that Rare Pearl.
I guess I prefer to be less demanding, less "special", and just have a cleaner and NOT have to scrub our 3.5 bathrooms / 4 toilets myself (I have a DH and THREE sons).
So, Milee, you can hold out forever for that "rare pearl", OR, you can compromise, hire somebody to do the lion's share of what you need done, and move on from there.
In the interim, until you find the perfect person, YOU will be scrubbing those toilets, but I won't LOL.
Frankly, maybe you need to just compromise?!

"If you hire the best person for the main job and develop a relationship with them, THEN you can find out that either they love to garden, or, that they are horribly allergic. But by then you will know them, and maybe even if they have 10 black thumbs, and they are highly allergic, it could turn out that their best friend or their sister or their cousin or their husband just LOVES to garden. "
This is good advice and definitely something I'll keep in mind. Rather get someone who's good at the majority of stuff and just not have them do the stuff they turn out to be bad at or hate.

If I did manage to find a Milee clone, we'd probably just end up disagreeing all the time anyway... Definitely good to keep the big picture in mind. Good perspective. And this is why I post here. Tough, but honest, love.

Milee we have had a cleaner / nanny who can drive for many years. She is well past retirement age at this point, and frankly she cleans very badly. But DS3 takes 3 buses to school and 3 buses back home so frankly at this point, we really keep her on because she can do the carpool (to get the kids to 1 bus on the way home) when I can't.
For years her DH used to paint and garden and do the occasional odd job for us. Unfortunately he developed Parkinson's last year.

Milee like it or not, kids get older, and parents and caretakers do too. DS3 is 14 now. We're keeping up this arrangement till the end of the year, when he finishes MS.

See, that's why maybe I do need a Milee clone - I'm not getting older.

It's part of the not compromising on anything deal. I have just decided not to do it and it's not negotiable.

With the age thing? So far, so good.
With the caretaker thing? I'm thinking advertise at $13, see if that will attract someone with good housekeeping skills and an open mind. Try her out on a few extra tasks and see what her comfort/skill is on extra stuff and go from there.

No she doesn't. She doesn't even want to do this stuff for herself let alone someone else. And if she did she would charge way more than $13/hr.
