Clint Eastwood's new movie comes out Friday. "Trouble with the curve". If Clint did not actually antagonize much of America at the Republican convention, as major media claims, and the movie does good at the box office this weekend, (I assume if he antagonized people, they will boycott the movie) Mitt might be ok in November. If it bombs, well like the White Sox chant goes, nah nah nah, hey hey, Good bye............. it's all over...... Did Clint throw a curve, or a hard fastball strike? This could be as good as predictor as any poll can predict 47 days and counting.

Seriously?
I thought Eastwood's empty chair skit was empty but that won't stop me from paying to see his movie(s).. He makes interesting movies.

I'm a big fan of Clint Eastwood (ever since watching him play Rowdy on Rawhide). I cringed in embarassment for him during the "empty chair" ramble. It was painful to watch someone you like and admire exhibit something so bizarre. So, sure, I'll pay to watch the movie.

What has one thing got to do with another..while not all are great fans, many are ..and it has nothing to do with pub or Dem...Probably will wait till it comes out in DVD but definitly will see it and am sure will enjoy it, can't remember when I didn't enjoy one of his films..yet still voting for Barak...

I won't be going to see the movie. Not because I'm boycotting Clint, but because baseball bores the hell out of me.

I have conservative folks in my life (we don't get to pick our relatives)... Even though we don't agree on political stuff, I still love them and I'm pretty sure they love me too.

It might predict the female vote, but for those of us who aren't young women with 'daddy issues' there's no way we're going to see that crap.

I ignore celebrities when they get on their political soap boxes. I think most people do.
Because Clint Eastwood is a great director and actor doesn't mean I should pay attention to his political ideas.
But because I don't agree with his political ideas doesn't mean I won't see his movies, either.
Right now the only celebrity I'm boycotting is Tom Cruise, because I think he's a Scientology puppet, and I think Scientology is a dangerous, abusive cult.
Plus of the few Tom Cruise movies I've seen, I haven't liked most of them, so I don't think I'm missing much...

I won't be going to see the movie. Not because I'm boycotting Clint, but because baseball bores the hell out of me. Well, you are from Canada, and it ain't hockey, so I understand. I believe it is more of a personal family situational movie based on baseball, but then again so was The Natural, and many of the good baseball movies. America does favor a good baseball themed movie. It is in our (blue)genes metamorphically speaking.
