Saveinla: thank you for your answer. I did have 6 sucrets in the order for a total of 38 UPs due back. I received 36. Does that make a difference? I just purchased 5 more including 3 cotton swabs (thanks again for posting after u tried this) and all UPs printed including the 6 for the 6 sucrets I purchased. I luvvvvvvvv me some RA right now!!!!!!!! misspt, It's just the number of Ups that print in a receipt that stops after 19/20. The value of the Ups does not matter. I normally break out transactions in batches of 15 if I have all of them producing Ups, just to be safe. HTH

I used the johnsons's baby qpon as the .30 qpon you have is for qtips brand not the j&j cotton swabs that are on sale. Saveinla and dancin posted about this earlier this week, so I can't take credit for it, though. :-) Like saveinla reported (as her RA add started Friday), the $1/1 ANY J&J Baby Item coupon goes through slick as snot!! Thanks saveinla for checking this out and reporting back to us.

Herekitty: Dollar General was giving you BS because your $5.00 Q should've worked. I went yesterday and did great on freap Gain, Gillette bodywash, Dove deordorant, Hefty garbage bags and a 4 lb. bag of sugar. I paid $4.59 for 14 items. I usually don't like shopping there but my sister has been doing so well with the $5.00 Q's buying her dog and cat food, I thought I'd give it a try.

YOU CAN MINIMIZE YOUR SALES TAX WITH UPs AND COUPONS AT RITE AIDI have tested this out for a couple of weeks and it works. Today I was able to cut into my sales tax using UPs and coupons. $8.97 (3) J&J Cotton Swabs .83 Sales Tax 9.80 Subtotal - 3.50 UP (Colgate) - 2.00 UP (Dove) - 1.00 UP (Maalox) - 2.00 (2) $1/1 J&J Qs (1/9 SS) 1.30 STILL LEFT TO PAY - 1.00 (1) $1/1 J&J Q .30 OOP --> (3) $2UPs (J&J) In the above example, I still owe more than sales tax before I hand over my last coupon so the computer will allow me to use it AND allow it to cut into the sales tax. IF I had another MC, the computer WOULD NOT allow me to use it since I am already into the sales tax. Clear as mud? HTH

I have been reading that some RA allow you to Pre-Order. I saw a pic of about 40 JJ products someone has ordered from their RA today. This would be great for you large hounders who can't get there on Sunday. I am a small hounder so i have no need. Anyway, wanted to pass this on to you all.

ZIPLOC VACUUM BAGS ARE A DECENT SUBSTITUTE FOR A VACUUM SEALER
We have been talking about buying a vacuum sealer, but they are EXPENSIVE as are the replacement bags and the replacement bags are not very conducive to being reused.
A couple of weeks ago, I received one of the Ziploc Vacuum Sealer Starter Kits in the mail. These seem to be an economical, viable alternative to purchasing an expensive vacuum sealer AND they can be reused if you package your meat in ziploc sandwich bags AND THEN place them in the Ziploc Vacuum Sealer bags. The sandwich bags keep the vacuum bags clean and when reused they reseal very nice. I will even go so far as to put the vacuum sealed bag in a freezer bag (which I can always get for FREE with drug chain rewards) for extra protection AND to mark what is inside. They too can be reused.
We received $1/1 coupons in the 2/13 SS. This week, Ziplocs are on sale at Target for $2.23 (10-100 count packages). I went in and they do not carry the Ziploc Vacuum Sealer bags, but WalMart does. I took the Target ad to WalMart and had them do a price match (normal price at WalMart is $2.68 for 12 quart sized bags).
I know that $1.23 for 12 is not even close to free and does not seem very cheap, but I have looked at all three drug chains and CVS is the ONLY one that carries any of the Ziploc Vacuum Seal products; but they do not carry the quart sized bags which is what I wanted.
This is one of those know when to hold 'em/know when to fold 'em situations. It is a new product. I don't know whether the $1/1 in the 2/13 SS is a better coupon than they will put out regularly or what they are going to provide on a regular basis.
I've decided to spend the OOP and stockpile a few of the boxes through the price match at WalMart. I'll be spending about $13.50 in OOP to stockpile (10) boxes, but I save soooooo much money in other areas, I decided to go ahead and bite the bullet on this one.
Okay, that was pretty long-winded; but I thought I'd pass along the idea.

Unfortunately for me, at my RA of choice (this is the one with the nicest checkers believe it or not) the main two cashiers who work Sunday morning know to watch the register screen and will stop you from cutting into the tax. They got in trouble with another coupon lady ( a shelf clearer) who did this. The cashiers that I had on my way home from Pensicola, though, did not stop this. Thank you Spanish Fort and Semmes Rite Aids for you awesome stock of Sucrets and J&J products!

When I buy steaks, we buy them from a local grocery chain in bulk at 3.99/lb for angus, high quality rib-eyes. BUT you have to buy $70-90 worth to get that price, so this might save me some aluminum foil and ziploc bags, b/c I usually wrap them then seal into a ziploc.....

Went to Petsmart. ALL varieties of the 4.5 lb bags of Science Diet are on sale for $5. My store had a TON. I didn't get the insert Q, so, used the IP's from Hill's website. I bought 6 bags and used 2 $8/1 (gave overage) and 4 $3/1. ALSO, if you print the IP's from their website, it will print a $3/1 Science Diet treats and they had several varieties on sale for 2.50. Somehow I left one of these Q's at home, but, I got so much free stuff today, I was very, very happy! Target was a total bust though. Ours is in the middle of remodeling and redoing the whole food section. The whole store is a wreck, except I did score some great deals on 90% of Valentine's Day stuff. They must've just discounted it this morning cuz there was quite a bit left. Rite Aid honored the raincheck for the free TP and Tissue fiasco from a few weeks back so I got 4 of each of those and didn't even have to pay tax. Wags had their Febreeze Flameless Luminary starter kits clearanced to 3.79 and there is a $5/1 in a recent P&G insert and I got overage...too bad they only had 2 left on the shelf. All in all it was just one of those happy hounding days!

I see the $3/1 treats coupon and a couple of other coupon offers, but nothing that is $8/1. TIA

Misspt: Thank You Thank You Thank You for posting the deal about the Hill Science Diet. I had all my coupons at work so after church I ran to my office and found that I had 18 of the Lite $5/1 coupons. I also printed off two of the $8 ones. I was able to get 20 bags of dog food, 4 bags of purina dog bones and a three pack of nylabones for total oop of $16.50. I could not believe this. I am going back tomorrow after I print off some more of the $8/1 coupons and score some more free dogfood.
I also scored free J&J products at RA and free gain products at Dollar Tree. The 60 count sheets are $2.75 at DT so I bought 4 and added a $1 filler to get 0. subtotal, so just paid tax ;D
This board is great!!

mawmaw: I'm still smiling after that deal!! I'm glad you were able to take advantage of it!! I really should go back and get some of the treats, but I am just too pooped after all this weekend's shopping and I have 20 dentastix that were free at the commissary. It will be all I can do to go to WAGs this afternoon......

constanz, saveinla, misspt: Thank you all soooo much for your help. Geez, this board is awesome. Everyone is tripping over themselves to help. I was able to print (two) sets of the $8 and $3 coupons. YEAH!! I'll be able to use these on ANY of the $5 bags that they have tonight. I have a rain check for (10) bags of the Lite cuz they were out of those and I have (10) of the $5/1 Qs so I can get those later with the rain check. I was running low on dog food so this is a great deal for Buddy the Beagle and The Rocket Man. I think I'll be able to stockpile several months worth of food for them.
