mawmaw and jdnstl: Thanks you both soooo much for your input on the J&J baby product insert Qs. When I saw that the cotton swabs were included under their BABY/KIDS category, I realized that the insert Qs most likely would not beep if the UPCs matched up, but I'm not much of a coupon decoder so I'm never sure. I will be going by a Rite Aid on the way to my dental office on Thursday, so I will check it out then (and buy some more Dove deodorant if they have some left).

HOUND ALERT!!!!!! PRETTY, PRETTY, PRETTY PLEASE!!!This site www.chex.com/Recipes/gluten_free_coupon.aspx has a $1/1 chex coupon on it, and I would love it, if some of you guys and gals would print and scan or mail them to me, quick as a bunny b/c I need them for Friday. Please PM me if you can help. If you like chex yourself, they are doing a huge gluten-free push in advertising and these boxes of cereal are 1.75 at the commissary making them .75 each after coupons. Thanks a bunch!

frugalsuz: Maybe you can help with this. I just noticed that the $1/1 home mailer that I received from Johnson & Johnson has their products segregated into (3) groups: BABY/KIDS, SKIN CARE, and TOPICAL HEALTH. In the BABY/KIDS grouping they have "JOHNSON'S cotton products" listed. This being the case, I am wondering if I could get your EXPERT opinion as to whether you think the $1/1 ANY Johnson's baby or Johnson's natural product Q from the 1/9 SS will be good on the cotton swabs (even though they are not pictured). I THINK it might and if the cashier questioned it because it is not pictured (which is unlikely depending on the cashier as long as it doesn't beep), I could show them the grouping on the home mailer. The UPC on the home mailer is: 5 08137 99276 7 / 038137-022794 The UPC on the insert Q is: 5 08137 00076 9 / 038137-022648 This would be an awesome way to stockpile the Q tips (uhm, I mean cotton swabs) for free. If it works, I don't think that I would ever have to purchase them again. What do ya think? ALL HOUNDS: Does anyone know what the regular price of the J&J cotton swabs (500 count) is and whether or not the silver or gold discount will apply? Dancin: These Q's are basically the same, the "992" means that you can use it on any product with the upc beginning with 08137. The 000 also means you can use it on any 08137 product. If you have a package of the swabs, look and see if the upc matches that and it should work "slick as snot" ;D This is great news mawmaw! Free cotton swabs for everyone!

I checked out the 2.99 Gain at RA. They are teeny, tiny. The one's I saw at Dollar General for 3.25 are about twice the size, so, I'm probably going to get one at DG, since I'm almost out, and hold the rest of my Q's, hoping for a better deal... constanz: That's what I was afraid of. Hopefully there will be a drug chain deal on these soon.

Good morning all! Happy Valentine's Day and nice job on the valentine's cost savings everyone! Today happens to be our favorite Director's bday so the girls and I got together decorated office with balloons, streamers, and bday sign. For staff mtg we got a chocolate chip cookie from grocery with happy bday and name on it. So since I'm the frugal one I work I went. Price for cookie was $10.99 I got the bakery lady to give me $3 off since it was made yesterday and today's 12" cookies were not ready yet. I was excited-I'm in line I got it for $7.99 (work pays for it but I like saving where I can). I do self checkout. Let me preface this with the following info: I'm wearing a business suit and a red poplin blouse with heels, she's in a track suit. The woman in front of me did a P&G deal or something at our local G.Eagle and got a $10 off next purchase catalina on the machine. She left it. I said "Excuse me Ma'am you forgot your coupon" She turned and hatefully said "I don't do coupons" I politely said, "excuse me but it's not a coupon, it's $10 off your next transaction, you earned it from what you purchased today, it's sort of like a gift card". She looked me up and down and said "Do I look like I need coupons?" I decided fine, I won't push. So I asked "Do you mind if I use it?" She literally scoffed at me and said "Obviously you need coupons" and stomped out of the line. I was trying so hard to hide my glee. I immediately went and grabbed fruit/veggies to total $10 and did 2 transactions. So I got 2 weeks worth of veggies/fruit(they had the $0.99/bag of semi ripe bananas too) for $0.05 OOP. Total was $10.05, I used her Q and paid a nickel! Then I bought the cookie for work on my word credit card. It was great! $10 worth of FREE MONEY? GREAT JOB!!! Why don't people understand if they had pulled a $10 bill out of their wallet and set it on fire.... it's the same thing.

ohmomto2boys, Thank you for your kind words and good wishes. I am almost 55 (54 and hanging in there!) so I think it was a bit overdue anyway. NAG - Suzi I hope your surgery and recovery go well! Get some R&R and you'll be back to hounding in no time! Just wondering, don't want to pry, but it seems that alot of ladies on this board have had to have some lady bits removed - is this the norm now once you hit 40+? Just asking cuz I'm a huge and I really thought that childbirth would be the worst of it and I'd be done! Nickyleey, Thank you for your good wishes for my speedy recovery. Yes, a hysterectomy (uterus removal) is fairly common for us older women. It could be for any number of reasons. The youngest in our neighborhood was 36 when she had her hysterectomy, but that was really unusual. Nothing to look forward to, but many times it is unavoidable.

Not sure if anyone knew about these deals I stumbled upon today, but Redbox has a free movie rental today only the code is:BEMINE Also the Ocean Spray facebook tab is giving away free samples daily-they are gone for today but it says they will have more tomorrow. Normally when I get these kinds of samples they come with Q's in the box. Thanks AJ!

AJ- If you told me I forgot a $10 OYNO in the register, I would graciously thank you, tell you what an airhead I was and gladly take it with me- as I thanked you again- that's money! What a putz! She may not need money, but I recommend manners and brains.

To the ONE "hound" that bought up ALL 40+ Dove deodorants at RA today - I hope the coupon karma fairy bites you in the butt!! (Hound is in quotes because I know this lady is just a greedy woman and not a true hound! Who on earth needs over 40 deodorants?) I went to two Rite-Aids 30 miles from home yesterday at around 1:00 (after church) and there were NONE! I was at one of the stores Friday night and only saw about 6 to begin with. I love my nearest RA, but they never have enough stuff in stock. Any ideas? I can only get there late on Fridays or Sunday afternoon, so seeing a manager isn't going to happen. I guess I'll use my Qs at Wal-mart using the ad to comp the $2 price.

Hound Alert Update Yes, the chex has reached it's print limit, but there is a .85/1 mawmaw was able to print, if any of you can print it I would appreciate that one, too. Maybe mawmaw can share the internet site she found it on? My email is mississippipt at gmail dot com. I won't be on the boards again this morning but can check my email via blackberry. Thanks to all who helped and are trying to help, I REALLY appreciate it.
carolinagirl: My sister is my commissary connection. Her DH is AF posted with the Navy at Milton, FL which gives us the Milton PX and the Pensacola Commissary to shop. :-)

Misspt: I tried also and it said I printed them but I am going to try someone else's computer. I'll let you know.
Checked my back inserts and I didn't have any Dove deodorant Q's. Bummer. However, stopped at RA last night with my raincheck for the paper plates and got 4 packs for $2.81 OOP. I have quite a stockpile of them. Great for summer cookouts!!
Also stopped at WAGS today for the 50% Valentine's Day candy. Didn't see my grandkids yesterday so I will make up their bags today. It is H's birthday today so I think we will get together for that tonight and I can give them their bags.

hotcouponworld lists some back inserts that supposedly have Chex coupons. You might want to check that out.

Went to WAGS last night to pick up last minute Valentine gifts for the girls. Did some price checking on the B1G1 Lysol products since I was going to get some for DD5's class - geesh, the wipes are $3.69!!! I have the $1/2 coupon but still!
The Airwicks weren't marked as 2/$5 plus free warmer either. Will stop at another WAGS sometime this week to see if prices are different. I have some RR's that I need to use up by Sun / Mon, but am in no rush to do so since there's nothing out there I desperately need.

FrugalSuz............ Thank you for the spread sheet that will really help me out, with trying to see how much I'm saving and can print it out to show my DS, since she keeps telling me I'm just crazy and coupons don't save that much to make it worth her trouble. Actually I'm going to send it to all my family , hehehe there's 8 of us!!!!!!!! 5 girls and 3 boys!!!!!!!!. My Dad is a truck driver and he stopped by for a visit on his way home and I loaded him up with ALOT of the free goodies I had and I had my sisters calling to ask what store did I rob!!!! hehehe and still they can't be bothered with coupons!!!!!! OK off my soap box..... Than you!!!!!!!!! Wow Nice job sharing ohiositter! My loved ones have slowly come around to couponing....they don't do it as much as I do but my mom has more stores to choose from then I do so when pubbler or anyone posts Kroger or Meijer deals I mail her my coupons and have her pick up the items I want that are freebie nonperishable. They will eventually come around to loving the free items and money you're saving. Then you'll probably get bombarded with "Teach me" requests. Keep up the great work and be patient with them.

That's awful turn around time on their end, even if it was Black Friday. I'm usually pestering the company after 8 weeks. I just got 3 back, one from Black Friday and 2 from the first week of Dec. A lot of them say up to 12 weeks for processing, so, I didn't think it was terrible. At least they came, and allow an unlimited number per household, unlike others. I'm looking for something to spend my $20 RA Winter Rewards Up on and I might just buy a few more of these.
