I often waive the consult fee once I've met with the person, but I don't advertise that I do it because then every whack job on the street wants one. So if I were to ask you a typical set of questions, do you have to do any research or can you answer typical questions easily with no research? The thing is for lots of people I would think, is that they want a quick answer and dont want to spend $50. I see your point. (I wish I had knowledge like you that people paid for) but i see the point of the guy wanting just a quick answer for cheap or free. I would think most quick answers arent sufficient, so would be an opening for more pay for you. I think quotequeen is probably a great lawyer. She seemed ubersmart. Is smart the main skill you need as an attorney? Of course along with educated. Most of the time, I can answer the question. Sometimes I do need to research the answer.
