I had no idea that this was an issue on this board until just now. As a migraine sufferer I have to share this with some of you. As a person that is on the internet a lot it is unreasonable of me expect the internet world to change to accomodate my issue. Here is a helpful hint that works for me. Coloured lenses effectively damp down the effects of lights or patterns that trigger visual migraine. I have some pink lenses and some blue tinted lenses and it really makes all the difference in the world. And what about the ignore button, since there are only 2 posters (one is me) who posts these pics on 1 or 2 threads that these people never go onto? The ignore button works wonders.

consider this fair warning to those who wish to deliberately ignore this simple request- your pictures WILL be deleted, and if you persist after that, then you will earn a vacation. there is absolutely no excuse why you can't be respectful of your fellow posters. sent from my mobile addiction Namaste Moon, Thank You.

It's not one or two threads. It's several threads.
And did you ever remotely consider that the reason people don't go to some of these threads is BECAUSE of the pictures? Maybe, just maybe, people would visit and post, but there's so much flash and trash on the threads, they cannot get through it? Just scrolling through all the fonts, bling and sparkle is enough to make a person wonder, "Gee, what black hole did I fall through and why do things look like this?"
Look, I post photos. If you've been to the coffee shop, you know that. But I post small photos, nothing moves and I keep the number reasonable. And I mostly stick to no more than two fonts in a post. For heaven's sake, this is not kindergarten. Put down the freakin' virtual Crayola box already.

As a person that is on the internet a lot it is unreasonable of me expect the internet world to change to accomodate my issue. JA, there's a big difference between going to a site on the internet where no one knows that you suffer from migraines, and this place, where people have stated it's a problem for them. No one can expect every site on the net to think about seizure/migraine sufferers. However, I can, and DO, expect for people to have reasonable concern for other posters here. The ignore button works wonders. yes, it does, but i think it's pretty selfish to say they should use it, in this case. Seriously.. what's more important?! someone's need/desire to post flashy pics, or the health of our fellow boardies? besides that.. say they ignore you, femme, because of your pics on a few threads. they enjoy those threads, and they enjoy YOU, as a poster, but now they can't enjoy either thing because of the pics. if they ignore you, they don't see those pics, but they ALSO don't see your posts on other threads where they like conversing with you.. see what i mean? so, isn't it a better option to just no post the pictures that could be troublesome?

And to add to moon's mention of Ignore: if you post from work, or a shared computer, you have to clear your computer at the end of the day. Depending on your OS, this will also clear your Ignore settings.

Well, Moon. I was just a bit confused after what you had told me in a recent PM. I was under the impression they were ok. That's what the PM said. I'm just saying. I just wish when I'm told one thing, it wouldn't change the next day. That's all. No problems. No flashing pics. I will still post my pics, but they won't flash. Gawd, I certainly hope this has made everyone happy.

And, as i told you, it's not plain pictures that are a problem, and I didn't realize when you asked that you were referring to the "pretty" ones. I'm sorry for the confusion.

Why are you continue to argue the point? Moon has started this thread specifically to address the problem and also repeatedly posted WHY the pictures are an issue - and to show consideration for ALL members .
We have nearly 1600 members on this forum - and there's more than "just a couple of people" that this is an issue for. It's not up to you tell them to "just use IGNORE".

You have been mistaken. I just sent you the PM, I specifically sent to you and I won't go into detail about what it said here, but, I have sent you the PM that I sent you, which was very graphic. There's no worries, as I said. It won't happen again. Just like to be told a straight answer when I PM about something specific, that's all.

I've removed all the icons and pictures on the last page of my thread, but I can't remove those in others postings there. Sorry.

That was sweet of you, Peg. I think, as people read this thread and realize some people are being negatively impacted by some of the things posted, they'll self-edit, just as you did. Thanks!
