Black Monday. The end of the world as we knew it, investmentally speaking. In March of that year, all my bank IRA'S came due that were paying between 15 and 16 1/2% interest. Rolling over, they would pay a third of that rate. Those were the days.... I decided to divide all funds in to three well respected mutual funds. Naturally, this was just about the high for the market for the year as well as any other year. Then, Black Monday, October 19th. Boom. No instant messaging, no internet, no contacting your actual stock broker-all phone lines jammed, even if you knew what was happening, because you didn't know. FNN was about it back then, and I did not even watch it back then. Not that much of America even had Comcast or cable service..... When it is all said and done, we all survived the fall, and eventually regained all our losses and a lot more. Want to bet we will all be in that boat in five years? I believe it. Any thoughts? Makes everything happening today a little easier for me to accept emotionally, although older, I am not sure wiser

Well, we can at least dream it, five years from now may be the next big up-cycle. If we can dream it, then there is the strong possibility, provided the world is still intact, which is always a problem with so many "crazies" on the loose. Chances are probably 99-1 favorable.
