IMHO, it appears that the Fed action is another indication of weakness in the economy and just another desparate move to encourage business to expand and hire more workers. I am not an economist and I am sure there are other things involved as a basis for the action. The ECU is, it seems, on the edge of recession and has deep problems with sovereign debt of several nations (Greece in particular, with Italy, Spain, Ireland teetering on the brink). This is developing into a very troubled world. My op: tred softly.

I am thinking Europe is going to let Greece default, and this is being played out in the markets.
Actually, Europe is not letting Greece default. Greece is not cooperating in doing the things necessary to turn their country around, therefore, Greece has decided to default, and the European Union cannot stop it from happening.

I wouldn't trust American Banks right now either! Lord knows what kind of European exposure they have!
IMO stay away from: Banks, Insurance Companies, Brokerage Firms.
