Up until now, I've had strictly cash accounts, which has been fine, but somewhat limiting. I'm considering getting a margin account, but am curious who you guys use and why. I've used Fidelity for everything so far just because that is who my 401k and IRA are through.
I had ETrade in the past and got sick of them charging me a fee every quarter. Keep in mind this was probably 10 years ago and I didn't have much of a balance and didn't trade much.

I have a Cash account on Schwab, why? because they bought my original broker, Rose & Co. ages ago.
I have a Margin Account on Scottrade. If i knew then what i knew now i'd be somewhere else. Why? well it is easy to put money in, but getting it out? ya gotta deal with a actual person and get a check, no outgoing Electronic Funds Transfer. Also Jim Cramer loves to say, "Never buy on Margin!" i've done this once, and twice now i've had to feed a call. No more margin trading for me, that falls under Hogs for me.

Scottrade - cheap and no games. Plus their new format is great!
