What 'industries' benefit from election $

So, with the $8 billion dollars that will change hands for the up coming election... which 'industries' or types of companies benefit from this spending? Where does all that money go? Where does it all come from? How do I cash in on it?

I think its very difficult to play an event like an election. The most obvious benefit would be to those who sell advertising and maybe any company involved in communication. I currently own a bull call spread in DTV (Direct TV) and am looking at CVC (Cablevision Systems). I recently owned CMCSA (Comcast).

My ex wife was (and still is for all I know) a radio salesperson. They make a lot of money on political ads. And they instist on being paid in advance. She was a salesperson for talk radio.

Q: Where does all that money go?
A: Advertising firms, media (some of which uses the publicly-owned broadcast bands) and to line the pockets of the politicians themselves. The advertising is used to sway votes of people too lazy or stupid to inform themselves about the issues facing the nation, which is the great majority of the electorate.

Q: Where does it all come from?
A: It comes primarily from the rich, along with corporations (without any permission of shareholders) and unions (without any permission of union members) who get it back by having legislators pass laws that screw the public and flow tax dollars into their coffers. Our despicable political contribution system is the most perfect example of "quid pro quo" imaginable.

Q: How do I cash in on it?
A: If you're having to ask, then, you are among the class of people who don't. But, if you're a taxpayer, you get to indirectly pay for it, which, as a peon, is all you should expect.
