I was looking at Vanguard and they have both an ETF and a mutual fund that they consider equal. Which one is better and why? Is there a minimum purchase for a ETF? The ETF seems to have a lower expense ratio, is this because you have to pay to both buy and sell the ETF? ETA: Vanguard says there are no commissions for trading ETFs, this means no fee to purchase or sell, correct?

I like ETFs because you can buy or sell them anytime during the day like a stock. Mutual Funds trade at the end of the day, after the close.
If Vanguard says there's no commission to buy/sell one of their ETFs, there's no commission.
I use Etrade. Commissions are minimal.
