CVS VENUS DEAL ALERT: BUY 1/GET $5EB IS A LIMIT OF (6)The limit on this deal seems to (6) but it is not working on ALL Venus razors. It's definitely working on the cheapest Venus disposable (one razor in a blue package) and it is working on the Gillette Proglide (which isn't even a Venus). I'm going to buy (2) of the cheapos and use a $3/1 Venus disposable and a BOGO Venus disposable. I'll use a $4EB, pay the balance and get a $10EB. I plan to give the razors to DS's GF. The one in the blue package is $6.79 at my stores, but it's not a disposable. It's refillable with the standard cartridges, it just costs less because it doesn't come with an extra refill. I bought one of them this AM because I didn't know the limits were higher, but I might go back for more later. I'm not sure the BOGO disposable coupon is a match, but you could use the $4/1 refillable from 8/12 RP if you still have some. Or buy a different kind of disposables. Could someone explain what coupon is for this deal? All I see is a BO Gillette system razor or Gillette disp gO Mach 3 razo free. Is that the right one? If so then how does it work with the venus disp razors? If someone could expplain the deal to me it would be appreciated!! ETA is this deal reg priced razors that generate an ECB? I have a 25% off coupon if it is a deal that could be paired with it. Thanks!!

HOUND ALERT!!!There is a sale on Sorrento cheese this week at Shoprite. the 1lb mozz and the 2lb ricotta is on sale for $1.88 and there is a coupon for it also. The coupon I am looking for is $1/1 Any one Sorrento cheese product, exp. 9/30/12 (SS 06/24/12) And $1/1 Sorrento Ricotta or Fresh Mozzarella Cheese, any, exp. 9/30/12 (SS 06/24/12) any help would be greatly appreciated as we are very cheesey people! Okay, this must be a regional brand difference like Best Foods and Hellman's mayo. I have the same coupons, but the brand on mine is Precious which I don't think are gonna do ya any good. I decided this deal is too good to pass up if I don't get enough here and just bought 20 on Ebay but thanks to you, Emhalf and everyone else that checked!

I didn't realize they were a regular Venus razor, because they were OOS during the buy $30/Get a $10 EB sale from a week or two ago so I haven't ever purchased/used one. I guess that kind of blows my plan. Oh well, that's the way the coupon crumbles. Thanks for the HU. emhalf: I'm so glad you posted this before I went in. The coupons I was going to use would not have worked and I would not have had the right coupons to do the deal. By the way, the Venus (blue pack) that you get where you live for $6.79 is a whopping $7.29; yep, $.50 more!! Anyway, I went in after my coupon roundup and here's what I did: $21.87 (3) Venus (blue) @ $7.29 ea. ...1.01 Sales Tax $22.88 Subtotal -12.00 (3) $4/1 Venus - 9.87 $10EB reduced down $.1.01 OOP --> $15EB for buying (3) Venus I'm going to call tomorrow and see if they can order some more for the sale.

Sam, could you not add another Mach 3 and use another BOGO 1 free coupon and shouldnt change the bottom line, except you wpould get an extra Mach 3.

Sam: Check with your CVS pharmacy department for a flyer called "Extraordinary savings program". If you sign up for that, it gives you 20% off coupon every week until 11/30 (it has just been extended). I never found it at my CVS but I haven't asked really. There is also a $3 off $15 coupon on it, it looks like. You can see it on iheartcvs website.

Thanks for the feedback, I was hoping this would work! Bunnysmom - those are all the coupons I have since I've only been getting 1 set of inserts. But 5 new razors would be a great addition to the dwindling stockpile. I am still using up Quattro refills from, um, 2007 or so?? Back when there was some killer MM deal. I had probably 200 total. All girl ones since I didn't know DH back then, but he just puts them on the "manly" handle and it works just as well. I need to pop in to get to the pharmacy for the 20% pass. I never get email coupons, no matter how many times I update my email with them.

The price on the Gillette Proglides is around $10.99. It does match up with the $4/1, but that would not make it a MM. By itself, it does not match up with the $5/1. Read that coupon more carefully, it requires that you buy an additional razor to get the $5 off the Proglide, so it will beep. The BOGO coupon for the Mach 3 will not work because it requires you to by another "disposable" (which the Gillette Proglide is not) to get the free Mach 3. This coupon will also beep. The Venus (single razor on blue cardboard) is anywhere from $6.99 to $7.39 depending on where you live. It does match up with the $4/1 Venus and your OOP will be less than $5 and you'll earn $5EB.The $3/1 Venus is for the "disposable" (which is not giving the EB), not for the "refillable" which is the variety producing the EBs. This coupon will beep too. The best deal here is to buy ONE Venus refillable (in the blue package), use the $4/1, pay your OOP and get a $5EB. It's a great deal if you need the razor. If this is discouraging, please don't be. Since you've been out of it, you just don't have the extra coupons that you need to do multiples of this deal. Don't worry; you'll get there.

I never get email coupons, no matter how many times I update my email with them. OMG, 200 razors!! That's incredible!! How did you get so many off of ONE sale? The only time I've gotten a lot of any single product off of one sale was when there was a killer MM Bertolli deal at Safeway and several of the GC gals sent me multiple coupons (including a lurker that sent me 65). The sale went on for over a period of 3 weeks, otherwise I would not have been able to do it for lack of stock. You are going to notice that things have slowed down quite a bit since the day's of 2007-2010. The Extreme Couponing show came on the air and manufacturers caught on to the stockpiler's strategy of using multiple coupons in conjunction with a rock bottom sale to get products for free. You will notice that as a result, manufacturers are fighting back. They are restricting the number of coupons that can be used in a single transaction. P&G was the first to implement it, but a lot of manufacturers have and will continue to follow suit. The retailers are on to us too. Many grocery stores that used to offer doubled coupons have stopped completely; others are restricting how many like coupons and/or total coupons they will double in a single transaction. The drug chains have also pulled way back on the deals that they offer. Gone are the days when you were almost guaranteed to be able to roll a reward before it expired. At CVS the $/$$ come in fits and spurts. We'll get a couple and then it seems we won't see any for months. The ones that used to be on iheartcvs that everyone could print and use are no longer because now each and every one (for the most part) are programmed to be card specific. RA has recently tightened up their UPs program imposing restrictions that make it impossible to roll rewards in the same day that you earn them. WAGs still has RRs, but is trying to move to a points rewards system and I imagine will slowly be phasing out the RRs entirely. Don't get me wrong, there are still great deals to be had (thank goodness), but it just is not the hey day that is was previously.

Hi all! I think I have really been out of it because I actually struggled with the Venus deal at CVS today. I think my skills are too rusty to think on my feet at the store like I had to do today. I also don't have very many coupons so I tried to get as much as I could with the lowest OOP. I couldn't figure out how to make the BOGO coupons work so I scrapped them and just got 2 f the Venus in the blue cardboard containers. They were $7.29 each and I had a 25% off coupon along with 1 each $3/1 and $4/1. So I ended up with it looking like this. 2 venus 7.39= 14.78 minus 25%.......-3.70 plus tax..............078 subtotal...........11.86 Minus MC..........-4.00 minus mc...........-3.00 minus ECB.........-3.79 Final total ..........1.07 and got back a $10 ECB. At my CVS the venus disp packs were all much more exp. I couldn't figure out how to make them work and not still be paying close to ten dollars OOP for two razors even with the % off coupon and since I don't need razors I decided to just scrap them and get what I could for almost free without ECB's. Now I just have to figure out what to do with a $10 ECB.

DM - the wording on my $3 Venus says a razor, refills, or Daisy disposable. I read it a couple times, but does not seem to be just for disposable, but maybe I am missing something (the fact that it listed refills made me think it would work for the 1ct as well). The Gillette $5 says Buy one Gillette system razor OR disposable, get $5 off one Gillete Fusion ProGlide. The Mach 3 coupon says Buy one GIllette system razor OR disposable, get Mach 3 Free. To me this is like a BOGO with a $ off coupon, right? I buy one Gillette system (ProGlide) and get the Mach 3 Free. And I can stack in the $5 off, or would that not work since the Mach3 is already free? As for the Quattros, that was over a few months when the limits were high and the high-value coupons were out. I remember them being big money makers too. I sold off most of them at garage sales over a few summers, but still probably have 10 packs of refills left. Ahh the good old days I am hoping though that this has discouraged the mega shelf clearers (the ones who set up mini-CVS stores at the swap meets with all their free loot). I can get a great stockpile for our needs with just getting a couple items here & there.

I doesn't have to be on just disp. the problem with using it with the BOGO coupons for me was that the BOGO coupons were buy one Disp get another Disp free. The disp are more expensvie than the blue reg one was. So when I ran the numbers the disp ones using the BOGO's actually came out just free after using all the coupons, 25% coupon and the ECB. Then I would have had sales tax. It is just to rich for my blood at the moment.

Dancin: Yes, that would be wonderful if you could print two from each of your printers. Then with the two p8nt is sending, I'll be all set. Thanks. Do you need my addy?

I can get a great stockpile for our needs with just getting a couple items here & there. Hmmm....you're absolutely right on the $3/1. I forgot, I going to use it in conjunction with buying the Venus blue AND wanted to use a BOGO to get another Venus blue - which wouldn't work. Sorry on that one. As far as using the Mach 3 to buy the Proglide and using the Proglide to get the Mach 3 for free, no; you would definitely have some beepage there. The computer will look for the purchase of (3) razors. Now whether the cashier would push the Mach 3 through is anyone's guess. The manufacturers have reprogrammed coupons to prevent "excessive" stacking, especially P&G. As a matter of fact, a lot of their BOGO coupons are auto deducting (i.e. do not beep to prompt the cashier to type in the price) IF you buy the correct product to use the coupon. So if it beeps, the cashier knows that the correct products were not purchased. Some CVS stores allow the auto deduct for overage and some do not. Great job on the Quatros. It has just been recently that we have been seeing some deals on razors (at CVS) where you can cobble something together to get them free IF you have the right MCs and a % off coupon. For the last couple of years it has been the norm to have to pay some OOP (usually $1-2) for a Venus or a Proglide.

I had a $10 off purchase q for Ace Hardware that expires 9/30 so decided to peruse their shelves yesterday afternoon (after that horrible 49er loss to the Vikings!). I have a couple adirondack chairs that need painting so I got a can of Krylon X2 paint for $6.99 and a Pledge multisurface for $4.99. Paid $2.13 so not too bad. I had hoped to use yesterday's BOGOF q for the Pledge but the ACE q could not be combined with any other coupons.
I'm a bit disappointed in our 3 CVS store--not one bottle of Centrum flavor burst last week when they were still giving out the $5 CRTs. They were never reordered. I've kept the CRTs and hope to persuade them to take them, even if expired, because that's really bad to keep giving out CRTs when you don't have the product. We'll see...
RE CVS rainchecks: my CVS doesn't even check the shelf to see if they are out of stock or not. I just tell the cashier they don't have such and such and they give the raincheck. They will also allow me to buy one/two at time--that's probably because their stock is not that great and they are constantly running out of stuff. These stores are popular because their prices are similar or less than our two grocery stores; and they are easier to get to .
I do have to use $13 UPs today. I think I'll get 3 more bags of m&ms peanut butter and send in one last $9 movie cash rebate. Will probably get 2 Crest Pro-health as well so I'll have a few UPs for future.

Didnt get a chance to read everything but this will work. Gillette fusion proglide is a razor system. I have actually used this coupon with fusion proglide and mach 3 along with the $5/1 coupon at walgreens a few times.

murphath: Okay, I must be a REAL DORK. I went to the Target site, clicked on coupons (at the bottom of the home page), clicked on Household to see all the coupons for cleaning products, and I don't see anything for Method. I also looked on the HCW database thinking they'd provide a link, but there's nothing there either.
If you provide me a link, I will be more than happy to print them for you.

"As far as using the Mach 3 to buy the Proglide and using the Proglide to get the Mach 3 for free, no; you would definitely have some beepage there. The computer will look for the purchase of (3) razors. Now whether the cashier would push the Mach 3 through is anyone's guess. " Didnt get a chance to read everything but this will work. Gillette fusion proglide is a razor system. I have actually used this coupon with fusion proglide and mach 3 along with the $5/1 coupon at walgreens a few times. Awesome. I did the same thing that Sam wants to do, by accident, with the $5/1 Progide and the BOGO Mach 3 when the razors were Buy $30/Get a $10EB. I thought that the $5/1 Proglide was just for the Proglide (as it has been in the past). There was all sorts of beeping at the register, but I really had no clue why. It wasn't until after I got home that I looked more closely at my scenario and the coupons and surmised that it was due to too much stacking, BUT that was at CVS. I haven't used them at WAGs, so I can't speak to that. There is a lot of stuff that will "work" depending on what cashier you get, but will they work "slick as snot" (without beeps), in this case, no and I thought that that was what sam was asking.

I noticed that next week might be a good time to use the BOGO pantene coupons at CVS, assuming they are still auto-deducting the 6.99 value. They are on sale for $4, and you get back $10 EB WYB $30. So it would look like:
8 x pantene: $32.00 -4 x BOGO (27.96) =4.04 OOP, get back $10 EB, plus they should count for beauty club
Better deal if you can also use 2 x $1/2, but that would be a YMMV situation.

I'm not hitting any stores this week ... nothing at all tempting at my 2 local grocery stores and I thought this weekend's coupons were pretty bad. I went shopping later last week though, so we'll be fine to stretch through until next week. Plus, it didn't help that between school taxes, heating oil, and new windows for our home we spent several thousand dollars this weekend. I think we'll eat through the stockpile for awhile

Dancinmama: Target must have removed the Method q because it's no longer there. Sorry 'bout that. I'll let you know if it comes up again. Thanks for trying.
RE CVS Venus deal: My CVS did not have the blue Venus ($7.29) marked as giving the $5 EB. Only the more expensive ones and the EB was limit 1. That's what the tags and their ad says but are you guys still getting a $5 EB for multiple purchases? I got a $10 off $50 purchase CRT today so I'm trying to come up with some scenarios. Also have $15 in EB's to play with.
Question: Do you know if I can also use a $4/$15 cosmetic purchase CRT; and $4 off $20 facial care CRT with the $10 off $50 CRT? I also have a $5 off two Almay color products (and 2 $1 man q's)
I spoke with the mgr. at the closest CVS and asked when they would be getting the Centrum flavor burst in--they haven't had any for two weeks despite giving the $5 CRTs everyday. He thinks they'll be in tomorrow and said they would honor the expired CRTs. I have a raincheck for 4 at the $6.99 price so would get them for free with the CRTs and $2 man q's. Keep your fingers crossed for me. ;D

RE Rite Aid UPS: Just a heads up if you are having the UPs loaded directly to your card. There is a major glitch. If you are doing a transaction and are planning on using man. q's, RA q's, etc., DO NOT SCAN YOUR Wellness card at the beginning of the transaction. If you do, your loaded UPs will not be used. You need to have the cashier ring up everything, then scan all q's, then scan your card. I had some UPs loaded (before I called and opted out) and this happened to me. I remember a cashier at the other RA explaining the above to a customer but I had forgotten. So when the $13 UPs were not deducted, I cancelled the transaction and had the cashier do it all over again. She kept insisting that it wouldn't work, etc. and did it begrudgingly. Imagine her surprise when it worked. She couldn't apologize enough. I had also told her that I was now opted out of the UPs loading and that my UPs would print. She didn't believe that either. I feel for these poor cashiers--they really aren't given correct information.
