Well, what is your philosophy on Defense? In my opinion defense wins games therefore I would focus more on the defensive side of coaching. Teach them man-to-man or in this case woman-to-woman. Teach them the different zone combinations. Have them work on boxing out for rebounds. Defensive rebounds can make a huge difference in a game as you know. As far as offense, since they are young start them off with a few simple pre-programmed plays they will have to learn. As the season progresses make your plays more complicated. I'm not sure what you were looking for, but I just gave you how I would approach coaching young ones. B-ball is my favorite sport!

I hear you, I'm a big believer in teaching the fundamentals first. Specially defensive fundamentals. So, how's the team doing?
