Wut wo. I guess she's too old to have her declawed? My perfectly good cat has no front claws, thank heaven. DD has a perfectly good cat that hasn't been declawed and never scratches at anything except her scratching post. Ditto DS's perfectly good cat. I've never been lucky enough to have a cat with claws that DIDN'T scratch at whatever it darned well pleased. Has she been spayed? That usually helps to mellow them. I'd say tell your DD to investigate how to take her kitty along. A nuisance to deal with the paperwork and possible quarantine, but at least you wouldn't have to deal with a kitty that has "issues"
