I ask for seltzer water from the fountain. No sugar or salt, refreshing (more so than regular water), and cheaper than bottled water.

There it is! Too small to read - you will have to click through, or google "A Sip of Soda"

Whatever - the diagram has a lot of really interesting things to talk about. But we can just prattle on about nonsense.

I don't want to know all the details of why it is bad for me. If I don't know about them, it can't actually be bad--right?

I can get on board with enamel loss, osteoperosis and diabetes, but I do not agree about it causing asthma or reproductive issues. Just because it MAY contain chemicals that COULD cause an asthma attack does not mean it causes asthma. (there ya go! Back on track. )

All those with heart conditions and diabetes can get rich suing Coke, since they started the high frutose syrup trend. Then add in all the other food makers! We'll be rich..

Does it mention causing massive amounts of heartburn? That's what Coke does for me.

I beg you... DO NOT POST A CHART ON THE EVILS OF COFFEE
There are some things we are better off not knowing. Ignorance is bliss.

It doesn't tell you in what amounts you need to drink in order to get said effects. On average I drink at most one 12 oz. can of soda daily which is usually sweetened by Stevia or regular cane sugar. I'm not convinced this will give me horrible health effects. I would think the sodium in preserved meats or potato chips in just a single serving would be higher than what I get in 12oz. of soda.

If they are complaining about BPA in can coatings isn't this also going to be true for <gasp> beer?

I'd like to join in this discussion, but I'm too busy drinking my POP. Of course, after I finish drinking it, I won't be able to join in because I'll likely be dead from one of those dreaded side affects.

If they are complaining about BPA in can coatings isn't this also going to be true for <gasp> beer? The alcohol in the beer counter any BPA effects on the body. Or is that the hops....

In Georgia, it is "CoCola" a shortened version of Coca Cola, even if it is not a Coke product, but Coke is definitely king!
