Well, as a few of you know, I had a car accident friday. My car vs deer. Neither won. It is now wednesday night. On friday, i did all the appropriate things: called work to say I wasnt coming in, called DH to come get me, called 911 to report accident and that deer was in road and a traffic hazard (and not dead yet and would need euthanasia). Also called my local insurance agent, the tow truck and the 800 insurance reporting center. Called the body shop car was being towed to and gave EACH individual entity ALL the information needed to make my car repair (hopefully repair not total) a fast process. As of tonight, the insurance adjuster has spoken to me and the body shop at least once a day and STILL has not given ok to fix ( or else issued check for totaled car). I left a cranky note on his answering machine because I have no way to get back and forth to work and borrowing cars is very tedious and impossible around the holidays anyway. He returned my call and spent 10 full minutes telling me how many accidents and deer reports they have had this week and how many trips he has made to make estimates on vehicles and how he was suppose to have thursday, friday, and saturday off for christmas but he guessed he would have to work some of it and he would make my car a priority tomorrow and would hopefully have an answer for me by tomorrow night. Which of course means that even IF he oks it tomorrow, they wont be able to order parts till the first of the week so I have at least another 1 1/2 weeks of no vehicle. AND had planned christmas shopping last weekend. NOT happening.. SOOOOOOOO please send good karma thoughts my way if you have the time. Thanks and enjoy the new home

Does your car insurance policy have a rental clause? If so, just rent one. If not, maybe you can get a deal on renting one for a week & it will be fairly cheap.

Rick, thank you for your kindness. Billy Jean-yes i have insurance which is why i referred to speaking to the adjuster and "fixing rather than totaling. As for the rest of your posts... No comment.
