Anyone been to Costa Rica? I have the opportunity to join a tour for 10 days (which happens to coincide perfectly with vacation days I have already taken). The descriptions make the nature photographer in me drool! I have to decide by tomorrow to get the deposit in in time.

I am thinking of going there next summer. My business partner owns a condo there and he offered it to me to use so i will see. I am not much for traveling so i don't know. But, he said it is a beautiful place.

I haven't been, but my brother & family went last Christmas. They had a wonderful time, there was a lot to do, and the ocean and beaches were gorgeous - and they took a ton of beautiful pics. The photographer in you would thoroughly enjoy it.

I went with my spanish class after graduating from high school. It was gorgeous and we had a great time. Zip lining through Monteverde Cloud Forest, kayaking on Arenal Lake (the volcano was actually smoking for the first time in years when we were there!), swimming in a pool at the bottom of a waterfall, going to the natural hot springs by Arenal Volcano....good times! I highly recommend it as a destination!

I am hoping to be able to go there. It is a place Goose and I have talked about retiring to even though we haven't gone there yet. I just read a short memoir by Darla Antoine called "I Ran Away To a Hippie Commune". It was about her going to Costa Rica after her divorce and finding the love of her life. It just made me want to go even more!!
