I have developed a bot that transfers threads over from the old boards to the the current site. Most major formatting is left intact.
If anyone would like a particularly large (but important) thread ported over, please let me know.
Note that all posts will necessarily have to appear under my user (unless of course you're willing to give me access to yours. ;D)

How the check did you do that?? You are all right, Virg. Don't let anyone else tell you otherwise.

"What is the solution to our Greater Depression" thread?
"Prepare for higher interest rates, but when?" thread?
Can you try these Virgil?
Hopefully, I would like to think they are important for the market talk thread. But then again, a lot of garbage can come out of my mouth as Moonbeam on here has quickly discovered lol. ;D

Hey The Virginian, You are beginning to remind me of The Artist, formerly known as Prince. I keep forgetting what name you formerly went by lol. Falling Sky (on msn), do I have that right?

Thanks for the kind accolades all. I'm surprised that people aren't more upset about losing their threads. For many of us, weeks of collective effort went into crafting our posts. Just think: with 2,000 posts, at 5 minutes a post, that's more than a solid 9-to-5 work month. My Momo monkey melee with Harbinger. The Market Talk Adventure Zoo. My "Where's the Beef?" Campaign against Frank. My Marketopoly board. All our debates on H1N1 and the Trilateral Commission. Gone. I had always thought they'd be preserved for posterity. At least Green Shoots Corner will make it. Poor, I can pull over your two threads this evening.

Poor, I can pull over your two threads this evening. Thanks Virgil! If I don't see (chat) again today - Merry Christmas to you and everyone else on these boards and to the boards formerly known as MSN Money.

Jaques the Momo Monkey pounded on Harbinger on his Dow 'program' predictions until he was so p$ssed that he cracked up. That was some funny stuff Virgil. I think that was what finally broke Harbinger's ego trip.

Hey Virg- Hope your Christmas has been Merry and well. At one point you offered your services with transporting message threads from the old board to this one. You were an angel to help me with the "Tsunami" thread-many thanks! I noticed Old and Gray attempting to cut and paste some other threads here..I was wondering if you could help him out? It appears he wants these threads here :
Out of the Great Recession? Fed Rate at Zero?
European Debt Crisis
So Virgil dear, could you, would you be a dear and help him out ? I admire the heck out of the man and his lifetime of wisdom. :-)
The very best to you and yours- Kate

Como and traelin, I'll port over threads - Out of the Great Recession? Fed Rate at Zero?
- European Debt Crisis
- Iceland’s President said his country is better off...
this evening. Still no word from Decoy. Does anyone know if he's come over here yet?

Decoy has posted several messages on MT asking folks to come over if they haven't already done so. I'd take that for a positive reply in re his appearance here.

If anyone can get a 'yes' or 'no' out of him on whether he wants his thread moved... I image he would, but he gets rather possessive. I'll not soon forget the tongue lashing I got for including his user ID as one of the options on a survey question.

Como, I haven't been able to find the "Out of the Great Recession? Fed Rate at Zero?" thread in the first 50 pages, and it seems that there are quite a few threads about the European debt crisis.
Could you possibly provide me with links to the two threads?
