I've been cooking (and cleaning!) all flipping week, and last night I decided after cleaning out the crockpot from yesterdays bbq chicken, to throw in hashbrowns, eggs, cheese, and ham so we'd have a hot breakfast this morning and something to last through the weekend. Not a good idea since although I made it look really pretty and turned it to low, I never plugged it in. I need to hear that its a lost cause to try to cook it now. Then I'll ask dh to throw it out and clean the crockpot so I don't have to look at it again.

If it's the worst thing that happens all day, it will still be a pretty good day, but grrr! I'm so mad at myself!

Aww, sorry Rae. Its definitely a lost cause if you left it out overnight. I'm sorry. I've done that a few times. FWIW, we usually leave the crock pot plugged in when we aren't using it or the off times I've unplugged it, I leave the plug inside the crock so it reminds me that it needs to plugged in. On the times I've done it, someone else had unplugged the crock pot and never left the plug inside the crock to remind me. Darn mom and MIL...
