I have not done much in my garden this year, primarily due to travel and being busy with business. But now I need to get some plants asap in the front yard (container garden) and would love some bright flowers and ferns that will last a few months at least.
So far I'm planning on yellow or purple mums, a big leaf fern and other than that I'm stuck. I'd love to do flowers from seed but need them blooming for a photo shoot (it's likely I'll have 24 hours notice to prepare).
Budget: $100 or so
Ideas?

Asters? Zinnias? Dahlias? Gerbera and/or Montauk daisies?
Is there a Home Depot or a Lowe's where you are? Ease on over to their garden department and see what's available. $100 should provide a whole lotta flowers.

Thanks MissRigby I ended up getting a good mix of plants, some flowers in bloom, most potted and ready to open. Can't remember many of the names now but they're looking good for the photo shoot on Monday! Big bonus is that the photographer loved the idea of an outdoor shoot.
