Where do you live? We're in central IN and have had the same hot streak - broken all kinds of records. It did finally rain a bit yesterday, but not enough to revive the dead lawns. We keep the birdfeeder full, but like you said, not much interest. We finished our outdoor patio/firepit at the beginning of June but there have only been about 2 sub-90-degree days since then, and there's a burn ban, so we haven't gotten to use it. On the plus side, we've saved money by not having to mow for about a month and a half now ;D

We have 100 days a year above 100 degrees, but once we get into even "moderate" humidity I want to start slapping people. Just reading your post made me want to wrap myself in blankets of ice and burrow underground.

Yeah, I can deal with heat, but not the humidity. I don't have respiratory problems, but being outside feels like having a hot, wet paper towel plastered over your face. I don't know how people with asthma stand it.

Well, our AC decided to die so I slept for maybe 2 hours in 85 degrees last night. Thank GOD it's being replaced today! DF was in a hotel room in Ohio. I'd have even gone to ohio to escape the hot of last night!
