State Sen. Leland Yee Receives Racist Death Threats After Calling For Limbaugh Boycott UPDATE via ThinkProgress: State senator Leland Yee has received racist death threats after calling for an advertising boycott of the Rush Limbaugh radio show. The call for a boycott comes after Rush Limbaugh rebuffed Yee's demand for an apology for mocking the Chinese president with non-sensical gibberish. The San Francisco Chronicle has an image of a fax that calls out the state senator as "Fish Head Leland Lee" and threatens, "Rush Limbaugh will kick your chink ass and expose you for the fool you are." The fax also depicts a tow truck dragging a noose. Inside the noose is what is presumed to be the faxer's depiction of "Hussein Obama." (AP) SAN FRANCISCO -- A California lawmaker is calling for a boycott of companies that advertise on Rush Limbaugh's radio show after the conservative commentator refused to apologize for mocking China's president. State Sen. Leland Yee launched the campaign after Limbaugh's Jan. 19 radio program, during which he did a nonsensical impression of Chinese President Hu Jintao's speech with President Barack Obama, the San Mateo County Times reported Wednesday. After Yee complained about Limbaugh's crude imitation, Limbaugh poked fun at the Chinese-American lawmaker, who's running for mayor of San Francisco. Limbaugh did not immediately respond to an e-mail request for comment from The Associated Press. Yee told the San Mateo County Times that Limbaugh's actions were "extremely hurtful" and damaging for children to hear. Yee reached out to civil rights organizations Tuesday and launched an online petition asking people to join the boycott. The lawmaker said he received a racist threat that was faxed by someone who appeared to be a Limbaugh supporter. I was (and still am) living in Sacramento CA, where Rush on the "flamethrower" station KFBK 1530AM was launched into national syndication. Most non-Sacto origins can't remember the name or the host he replaced - a host who got canned after using the word "Chinaman" to describe a Chinese native. Sacramento City Councilman Jimmy Yee took great exception to this "racist" epithet Morton Downey Jr. employed, and conspired to have Downey fired. Never mind that Downey's wife was Chinese. The replacement? None other than Rush Hudson Limbaugh.

The loyality of Rush's fans is a testimony to his status in our country.His is the most popular radio show on the air. I had to laugh when that congressman said he was "just an entertainer"and was bombarded with emails,calls,threats,etc. and apologized publicly to Rush the next day. He is a power to be respected.

I think this is another example of a left wing freedom-hater inventing a "hate crime" for some free publicity. It has already happened so many times, any credibility is long gone...
