I see you hit the 1,000 karma post total today! It shows despite what the liberals say about your comments here that some of them have to be karmalizng you secretly, because we all know there are not enough conservatives here to get you to that number.

Who knows how he got the karma, but Archie's old total shows that one person dedicated to karmalizing another person can get that total pretty high.

Not so sure about that... you can only give karma once per hour to a single forum member. If you are online 24 hours a day you can give karma, maybe 23 times. I think someone recently worked out that math. If anyone deserves and has earned karma, it is me...LOL

While very few people are on every day you can see if you were on every day and gave karma twice to someone the math works out. Half as often, karma four times a day and so on. I doubt he got all his karma from one person but I do remember when I first started posting on P&M it seemed some conservative posters had wicked high amounts of karma and most of it seemed to be because they were always giving each karma. I like the karma feature but its obvious the like feature will give you a better idea on how many people agree with a poster or at least a given post. SF, I think you are already living your earned karma.

Some posters give each other karmas just for showing up in a thread. Then the recipient returns the favour. Some posters jump from thread to thread begging for karmas, then promising to hit you up when they recharge. It's utterly meaningless. (Can't even trade them in for a toaster)

(Can't even trade them in for a toaster) the more common strategy is to reward people for being foolish enough to say something that those with better sense would never say, ime.

Karma was supposed to be used as a "thank you" to another member for a great post, or to congratulate someone for achieving something they were trying to accomplish (like landing a job etc), or if it was their birthday, a get-well, or something along those lines. There's some here who place so much importance on their number it's sad. They'll say they're going to hit someone up in order to get one for themselves, and most of the time they never do follow through or reciprocate. It's a number, folks. Doesn't make you any better than the next person.

(Can't even trade them in for a toaster) I earned my Karma, as little of it I have. OK I begged or whined a few times.

We're congratulating PBP over karma?Dang, I thought it was something important, like maybe he and the Mrs. had a little conservative bun in the oven. Shucks.
