You know, everybody wants to bitch about government. Government is too big. Government spends too much. Government prints money. Government takes too much taxes. So now it's time to pull back on the reins, just a little bit, and now we can't do that" Wtf.....You guys want it both ways. We're at the point where we're creating another economic demographic here. We have the lower/poorer class, the middle class, and now between us and the rich we are creating the public employee class with guaranteed raises and benefits with cost of living increases every year and guaranteed jobs? We're creating a block of voters in this country, between these guys and everyone else feeding off the government, and throw in the illegal alien issue, that will control the lives of the rest of us. Aren't you the guy who said you got an "80% pay cut"? Keep this crap up and see how it works out. There has to be a limit.

That's not one million jobs. After sorting out it looks like a few hundred at best. It looks like half those cut already happenned in Feb. What business does the government have to do with American Suzuki? The are shutting down auto production and focusing on motorcycles. They've been cutting people for months. Sweetbay Supermarket? Really? What does that have to do with anything? Liberty Medical is a private company marketing to the public. They accept Medicare payments direct. If whatever they supply to people is covered by Medicare, it will continue. There is nothing anywhere that states that Medicare coverage is changing. By the way, did you know that Medicare pays to have your toenails clipped? Are you kidding me? Yeah....can't possibly cut anything....we're downto the bone. Footnote your sources please.

Lol frankq , I personally have no skin in the game , i have worked for myself all my life . Like you I could give a rats ass about our government and how socialist it's become. The way I see its the powers that be want to lower our standard of living while bringing the rest of the worlds up. Its nothing personal frank, I've always enjoyed the packs point of view. I respect that not everyone sees the world the same. I wish you and your family nothing but prosperity and good will.

frankq after 4 years I finally found something I can agree with you on sequestration. We need a lot more of it not less and make it permanate.
Have a good day and a better tomorrow.

Thats is correct frankq, those are just a few hundred jobs associated with the DOD. Lockheed and General dynamics. Like I said that is just one state. This is just the start. They are the kind of jobs Americans can not afford to lose Source as requested : www.floridajobs.org/office-directory/division-of-workforce-services/workforce-programs/reemployment-and-emergency-assistance-coordination-team-react/warn-notices

mmhmm, never mind. I give up ..... It's not time to give up, yet, sunrnr. It's time to play it safe, watch, and wait. Patience is a virtue for a reason. If we all realize there will be differing opinions and that's perfectly okay, we're golden. If we don't, we've got nothing. It's not necessary to point out another person as less than intelligent, or dense, or anything like that. What is workable is to post reality as YOU see it and let others do the same.

Damn, Some will be affected no doubt, but nowhere near to the extent advertised. Again, it's really not a cut if it only affects the increase over the previous year. We'll see how it all plays out. If Obama wants to inflict pain to get his way, well that would suck for some people. Just as a point of interest, these notices for job cuts in Florida are not necessarily tied to the sequester are they? It looks like Florida has been posting these every year for some time. The Department of Economic Opportunity's Reemployment and Emergency Assistance Coordination Team (REACT) serves as the state’s dislocated worker unit. WARN notices submitted by employers are processed centrally by the DEO. Florida’s Regional Workforce Boards are responsible for direct services to employers and workers who are affected by layoffs and business closings.

Warn notices Are required by law. Anything starting in January associated with DoD is related to sequestration. Obama gave contractors a pass until the first of the year.

damnotagain I believe you are incorrect. Obama gave contractors a pass until the first of the year before the election to make the unemployment numbers look better. He even gave them assurances that they would not face penalties for delaying the notices.

In the alternate universe of manipulated markets, insane derivatives, massive criminal fraud in both the banking and commodities markets, central bank machinations with currency handouts, and complete dereliction of duty on the part of regulatory bodies, it seems that the basic laws of economic price discovery no longer apply.
2013 Silver Eagles As Low As $2.69 Over Spot IN STOCK NOW at SDBullion.com!!
So, according to Silverdoctors, the worlds' supply of silver is extremely tight, and price is being manipulated, but silver is going to boom. If that is the case, and silver is in short supply, why is it, as we can with gold, buy it on sale? According to the above source, silver eagles are scarce and are being rationed.....but you can buy them from Silverdoctors for a minimal fee over spot?? I think these silver salesmen have an extremely vested interest in having some people believe the nonsense they spew. These are the same guys who grossly misquoted the official gold audit, actually added "information" found anywhere in the official documents. Come to think of it, we never got a response to the questions we posed to some out here. Meanwhile....MARKET HITS NEW RECORD!!!! So, you sold out a few years ago and never got back in....too bad........

And as we keep track of the folks, population factors, women, children, kids in rough times, and the BIG Top just keeps on ignoring as it has. Why you can and will certainly SEE some stuff helping the various Foot in The Doors, performing some great suprise tricks. Cause what's going on behind curtains one, two, three, and many more....why they will help these things along. Example,
March 4,2013 - Local homeless shelters feeling strain of sequester cuts www.14news.com/story/21479784/local-homeless-shelters-feeling-strain-of-sequester-cutsLets just cut to the chase and fast forward to the last paragraph of the story: The Evansville Rescue Mission does not receive any federal or state funding, therefore won't have any budget cuts. But with a new facility, they are prepared to help those agencies, like the United Caring Shelter, should they be forced to turn away clients. So, the Evansville Rescue Mission, who is doing all of the talking, is not effected...Why aren't we hearing from the United Caring Shelter? How is a 5% accross the board cut going to impact an organization that gets $100,000 in government funding? They're going to lose (potentially) $5000. So, losing 5K over the course of the year is going to spell the End of Times LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Exactly Q. The cuts are going to sap some growth because it's going to take some disposable income, and result in some jobs cuts. Those cuts however are going to be offset by a recovering housing market, this is why companies are investing into the USA economy(per recent econ numbers). I see that you're still unable to get any real conversation going Q. It's funny how getting real answers is just not going to happen eh? Honestly man, how can anyone believe in someone that literally, NEVER, stands up for what he's saying, you know what I mean? Sun, I see that you're gone from here but I just have to say that I think it's funny how there is just nothing but silence on the topic of the amount of gold in the world... Bottom line here is that the market has doubled and then some in the 5 years that the doom and gloom squad has been on this board. I say that unless Decoy steps up and starts answering for the things he posts and relates it back into the market in some way, we just leave these guys alone to pretend to know what they are talking about. Honestly, I wanted to help bring this area back a bit but I just don't have the time that I thought I was going to have going forward when all this is going to be is Decoy acting like we aren't answering him and dogging us in his threads in this veiled way that no matter how many times is reported for COC violation will never lead to a ban. Especially when all that ends up happening, as displayed on this thread, is the conversation is turned onto an tangent about gold in some form or another. All the doom and gloomers on here choose to ignore and not debate what is posted on Investing perspectives. As displayed earlier in this thread, you can't get a strait answer on most subjects when they bring up the topic. I say we just see if we can get some answers here, on topics like the pizza housing market, or say how much gold is out there. If not, how can we be wrong?

I couldn't disagree more with that. Economy is accelerating.

You sunshine pumpers are fun to watch. As the Dow goes up , fine by me, it's on international earning and corporate investments in emerging markets. Add on additional layoffs and job cuts profits up. Let's not even address the Feds money printing.
Your right about the amount of physical gold reported on hand. My bad.
As far as double dip goes that's my call , I am sticking to it. The rising cost of health care along with the higher taxes on "The Job Producers " , small buisness , have yet to hit. Real unemployment is at 14 %. Let's wait and see how that credit rating pans out.

Damnotagain the health care cost may be hidden. Mon and dad are going to have to pick up costs for those 26 and under. Nice degree but no job and living at home.
Many companies some openly and many others by stealth are just cuting hours to less than 30 hours so they do not have to pay health care costs.
The burden is then on the individual and will not be reflected in the stastics.
Many simply will not get health insurance. Lets face it they can not afford the costs.
