Again, I wish someone would do the math on this one.

As far a terrorist handbook found, this can't really be surprising. We know that the terrorist will go at any lengths and use all resources. Anybody with half a brain would have summed up that terrorist were coming in through the borders a long time ago. It is easy access into this country. Then again our representatives(if you want to call them that) are supposed to be taking care of our national security, personally I think they care more about their seats in political office.

So basically, stricter gun laws will only keep guns from those that own/carry/use them legally while the ones that we should be concerned about will still get them since they don't give a rats ass about the law anyway.
You can't blame gun dealers from doing what they are in business to do, however you can blame state governments and citizens of those states for not wanting to at least attempt to solve the problem. You can enable gun legislation that doesn't keep guns out of the hands of legal citizens. You can track weapons to determine how they are getting into the hands of criminals. Knowing the problems the border states are facing, any legal citizen would probably be willing to answer a few questions if they walk into a gun dealer and attempt to purchase 20 AK-47s. Any legal citizen who has a pattern of purchasing guns and then losing them or having those guns stolen a few weeks later should understand why they are eventually denied access to new guns. The gun owning/gun law debate is only black and white because legal citizens make it so.

Definitely kudos to the BP agents on duty. However, as the BP themselves admit, for every pound of narcotics they seize, two pounds get through. So we can extrapolate at least two terrorists crossed the border for this one that they caught.

If terrorists only weighed a pound you would probably be correct.

I think the hundreds of thousands of illegals in AZ only put the lie to that statement, Tenn. And we are being very hostile to them now, thank you, AZ state gov't, so they are heading your way. Good luck with that.

It sure is. He was caught. Good job U.S. Border Patrol agents. You mean firefighters. Claiming "the system worked" is like claiming the TSA screaning caught the underwear bomber. Border Patrol agents, alerted by firefighters who saw the two immigrants get into the car's trunk, pulled the driver over near the Golden Acorn Casino about 50 miles east of San Diego.

Sorry but if the BP could REALLY stop people from coming across the border then we wouldn't have over a million (or is it 2 million) illegal aliens in this country. (My cousin is in the BP by the way). If you want to get a true idea what they are up against do the math. Find out the total number of BP people we have & then find out how many miles of (just land) border we have. Then divide it out to find out how many miles each BP person has to cover (assuming no one gets sick or has a day off). I think you will find that on a good day Stevie Wonder could wander across our border & probably not get caught (& yes, he's blind).
