Looks like there are some people still lurking around here.
Does anyone have any recipes for Kohlrabi? I see it at the Farmer's Market and I really want to buy it but I have no clue how to cook the thing once I get it. There aren't a lot of recipes online either, the foodnetwork didn't even have any!

It is not a very exciting veggie. My 2 cents is to eat it raw, cut up and dipped into some hummus. My wife is going to try and pickle it this year, too.

I do a lentil curry and use kohlrabi instead of turnip. I saute the kohlrabi and the onions a while until the raw taste goes away.

Pickle it! Put it in a mix with sliced radish, shredded carrots, slivered bell peppers, chopped onion, whatever else is around that looks good. Makes a wonderful pickled "side-salad" that when properly pickled/fermented is loaded with probiotics.

If they are over-riped and have the "wooden" texture I would toss them in to anything I would normally put root vegetables in like soups or stews. If they are "young" a nicely crunchy I just eat them raw (they're my favored vegetables to just munch on) but you can also slice them thin (Juline?) and add them to stir-fry they add nice texture and taste, in my opinion anyways .
