...ok, now that everyone's expecting compromising Facebook pictures of all the regular posters: money.cnn.com/2011/01/24/real_estate/onwuhara_home_equity_fraud.fortune/index.htmScary how much information is readily available, and you don't have to pay for most of it! I use deliberately falsified info in many places (e.g. bday off by 1 digit, slightly off answers to questions such as pet/mother's maiden name, etc). I suspect I'd still be no match for these scammers; good thing we have neither a HELOC nor a million-dollar home. What measures do you take to protect personal identifying info online? Discuss! |
